It sounded immense on the stream.

Hoping we can better it on Tuesday with 5k at Barnsley...

The amount of alcohol consumed can have a big impact on noise levels.

So it will take a lot more effort from people to try and emulate that atmosphere again, but we must try.

I didn’t have any alcohol and I was extremely noisy!

The atmosphere has been crazy at all away games. Loved yesterday.

Bouncy, bouncy.

Derby was only three weeks ago.

Charlton as well.

Yes, I’d agree it was better, but Derby and Charlton were very good as well.

There is a couple of Vlogs out there by P’Boro fans taken from the stand at the side and the noise from ITFC is deafening and the scenes glorious mayhem.

I’d say it was the best away end I’ve been in as a Town fan (and only 3/4 beers deep too so remember it perfectly)

There were times where I just turned and watched in amazement at the noise. And, I even filmed a bit too! Which is something I’ve never done, and normally against!

Sounded very loud on iFollow. Even before kick off. Hopefully our support at Barnsley will out do it.

Sometimes when you're amongst it it's hard to appreciate it, I was in posh family stand upper and it was brilliant to hear, posh fans all had their eyes on it I noticed....I loved the " you've seen the Ipswich now f**k off home"...I'll mention that to the PTS lad at work on Monday..

Eh?

I was sat with loads of people not drinking and we sang our hearts out.
I would imaging the numbers not drinking out numbered those who were.

Is there a pint to noise ratio equation?

Just wanted to see your working!

Alcohol consumption clearly has an affect on atmosphere.

Yes, of course.

I'm being playful more than anything, but I do wonder how many of the 3800 had a drink, how much they drank and what impact that had on the noise generated?

Edit:

I think we need a poll to get to the bottom of this!

Judging by the state of some Town fans in ‘spoons pre match, they more than likely didn’t get into the ground.
Bloody great atmosphere yesterday though. Both stands singing in unison for the most part.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

There was a fella in front of us so drunk he couldn't sing any of the words and every time he tried to kick a beach ball, he missed!

And yes, getting both stands singing as one was incredible.
The "right side/left side" chant was awesome.
I said to the fella next to me that it would be great to be sat in the home end just to have heard us.
We blew them away.

My fav part of the right/left side chant, was the genuine hatred in some on either side, bursting with pride at the side their ticket was.

One bloke on stairway was giving the middle finger, w*nker signs, the lot

Was a young kid at the time but the loudest I’ve heard Ipswich was at Palace when we lost 3-2 on a Tuesday night. We probably had a lot more lads that worked in the city then and just different times. Clapham’s diving heading was deafening.

QPR in 2000 around this time of year was probably the most boozed up worst behaved.

Yesterday sounded ridiculously loud good to see everyone so together.

Need to shift some calls for Tuesday afternoon!

No we lost 3-2 (Orange kit I think).

Might have even been as early as 98 but I can’t remember.

QPR 2000 did have a large amount of London games only attendees, and a lot of West end drinking. It got a bit lairy.
