Start the best possible side, get the game won if possible and then rest people via subs.

Agree with this. We're in the final stretch now. If people get injured, they get injured, but we need to do everything we can to win every game. Rotation early in the season makes sense because "it's a marathon not a sprint" but we need to be sprinting now. | |

I'm swinging left and right like the wassname on top of the piano on this one. I can really see the merits of both points of view.
And that's a good thing, because...
A) If we stick to the same side and get a few injuries before Bolton, I'm comfortable that the replacements will be able to do the job at Bolton.
B) If we rest key or slightly injured players tonight with Bolton in mind, I'm also confident that any players coming in tonight will get the job done.
So although I'm swinging both ways (oo-er!) my pendular motion does not make me feel remotely queasy. It's the sign of a club/squad in a very good place.
