Suffolk at risk of going into Tier 3 19:02 - Dec 8 with 2317 viewsChrisd

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/13415733/four-areas-risk-tier-3-covid-lockdown/

Really surprised by this especially as Suffolk has generally had low numbers regarding new cases in the main. Really thought other areas were more at risk, like Essex. Naturally, it will also impact on the club regarding supporters being allowed back. Perhaps the game on Saturday against Portsmouth, might be a one off?!

"In Suffolk, the case rate is 226 per 100,000".

Not sure about that. The 'official' site says there's a few relative hotspots, (Ipswich itself looks quite high but not surprising given the numbers ratio), but plenty of other places are far lower:

Nah, that's bollox.Suffolk is about 70/100000 roughly what Cornwall was when it was given tier 1 status.

Ipswich is 160 as of Dec 4th.

Most of Suffolk is below 70.

As long as you don’t do anything stupid like letting thousands of people back into stadiums, you’ll be fine.

Suffolk as a whole is 70 according to that ineractive map. There are one or two places that are considerably higher, but also many places that are super low.

4 areas at risk, and they haven't mentioned london?

Should be noted that on the day we came out of lockdown, London had higher rates than manchester, and since then, they have gone up, and Manchester has come down, so it will be interesting to see what happens next week.
