Are you familiar with the ignore function? If there are posters whose posts you consistently find objectionable you can choose to put them on ignore so that you don't have to see their posts. Glad I could help.

You don't seem to have found it judging by all the down votes...

I see you down voted the 2 posts calling out the usual suspects on this thread. Anyone would think you're guilty of being one of them....

Not at all, I just think it's rather disingenuous and in your case in particular it was really rather rude to jump into a thread and call people tw@ts.

As I said earlier this year when the season ended and people had got excited and convinced themselves Lambert's "clauses" would mean he would leave..... Evans will not sack Lambert for at least another 2 years.

Evans has been cutting back continuously over the last 5 years, we are now operating in a world with even less income and uncertainty over when fans will be allowed back in. Unlikely to be back to 100% for at least another 18 months so why would he pay out significant compensation?

Nothing but essential spend (terminating a whole team of coaching staff on long term deals is not essential spend and then having to hire a new team) will not happen. Even if we are 15th at end of the season, continuity will be followed.

I'll happily wager you that if we're 15th at the end of the season Lambert will be sacked (if he hasn't already been by then).

Weird downvote. Could he not just agree to disagree?

Reading between the lines I think he's in favour of people jumping in and calling people tw@ts. Either that or it's some kind of tit for tat thing, which isn't really in the spirit of agreeing to disagree.

Just leveling this up, having been stalked by your good self.

At least he hated Nodge.

Would probably be better than Lambert, but not convinced he would be good enough for the Championship. As the season is about to start, probably best we all start to get behind Lambert for the good of the club. Give it 10 games of the new season and then we could maybe give him some stick if deserved.

Cook history
Chesterfield won league 2
Chesterfield took them to 6th and the play offs in league 1 ( side has fallen into non league since he left)
Pompey took them to play offs in league 2
Pompey won league 2
Wigan won league 1
Wigan finished mid table in championship before their 12 point deduction of fo going into admin relegated them .

Has achieved all of that in the same time the good man Lambert has achieved exactly what?

I know which one i would have , and I would have him now before he goes elsewhere.

Cook’s achievements far outweigh PH’s managerial accolades and he’s been successful at that Championship level too, where PH had no experience.

He'd be a very decent replacement. We'll be able to see first hand what his Wigan side is like during that first game of the season. He'll still have them competitive regardless of their situation off the pitch.

He seems to be a fairly decent manager, he's been pretty unlucky with Wigan

Have Wigan lost any of their players so far?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I’m not too sure Bournemouthblue? I’d forgotten that Cook had resigned from his position at Wigan, so I’m probably not the best person to ask!
