at 0-0 in extra time and apparently he got MOM for it after they went on to win on penalties...

Keane's stamp was nasty - but Schumaker's was borderline attempted murder!

This made me chuckle -

I went to the France v Germany Euro semi final in Marseilles a few years back and some French fans were waving the "Free French" flags from WW2.

Don't think Mr Schumacher did much for Franco-German relations that day.

Poll: This new lockdown poll - what you reckon?

Seem to remember Warky getting sent off at their place for something very similar..?

Warky chopped down Eadie on the halfway line.

It was the pre-meditated revenge aspect of Keane's that made it especially nasty imo. But in terms of delivery, yeah Schumacher's by far the more violent. And ref didn't even award a foul

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

Extraordinary work.

This isn’t quite as good given Cannigia was running away from goal, but still an expertly executed piece of on-field violence.

Watch how the Argentine's try and tread on his foot, while they chase the referee down. They are cynical b*stards!

De Jong must get high marks for athleticism for this tackle in the WC Final.

I'd be completely hoarse if it was Town.

Just another thing that makes football so bloody good. Not the sh1thousery in itself, but the emotion.

Simeone patted him on the back and smiled as he went off. Brilliant.

Just read this

Simeone said: “Fede Valverde’s red card was the most important moment of the game. I told him not to worry, that anyone would’ve done the same in his position. He won the game.”

It’s right out of the simeone copybook and fair play to him for acknowledging valverde.
