Following on from a previous post claiming that yesterday was the worst, a simple question. Which Town performance stunk the famous old ground out the most?
Personally I remember a particularly dreadful Boxing Day effort against Birmingham in the 90s (I think it finished 0-1) and a League Cup defeat at home to Stockport.
I haven’t been going as much during the Mick years so missed the 1 up front, 2 holding midfielders fiasco against Rotherham. |  | | |  |

We lost 5-1 at home to Wimbledon back in the 90s. More recently there was the game v Derby when we went 3-0 down in virtually no time at all. |

There has been so many woeful performances under the Marcus reign it’s all just blending into one.
Yesterday was truly awful and unacceptable, mainly because we were just so hapless and error prone.
The crowd was big and really in a good mood to be entertained; we have failed so consistently in recent seasons to take the chance to entertain and get a result for fans to take home as a memory.
As Mick Mills states football is an entertainment game; a lot of us here forget that because Ipswich is just an opiate and we keep going back.
As for worst performances some of Jewels big score line drubbings, you can pick 5 or 6 from Micks last two season that we’re like having pins stuck in your eyes. Often because we were getting passed off the park as well as being so rigid and lacking forward momentum.
That’s what frustrates when posters start to link lamberts now death spiral reign with mocks tenure as some how being acceptable in its last two seasons and his general football ethos - ‘careful what you wish for!’ - when it was littered with awful performances that completely lost the fan base and had crowds plummeting.

And the worse thing for me personally 66, is that so many of those big match occasions with bigger crowds and/or sky coverage, I’ve dragged friends or family en masse along.
And you just sit there thinking why do I continue to support this sh!t when it’s clearly so bad... and you have witnesses to your shame. |  |

too many to mention from the MM time here, but yesterday could be chucked in there also, but im not sure it was THAT horrible, or whether the sht weather and expectancy level to win and current form, made it seem worse than it actually was |
