Apart from the sad end to Darroch's career the big issue here is Trump and Johnson. Openly endorsed by the former it is clear that we are going to fall increasingly under US influence under the latter (last night proved it). We can only hope that the US election next year throws Trump overboard and he can be remembered as a political bad dream, while a rational, sane president replaces him. (Whatever you think of former US presidents they were all at least to some degree rational even if you didn't agree with them)

Pickles has destroyed his own credibility. When you're caught in a lie, as far as I'm concerned at least, you're done. Everything you say from that point onward can't be trusted.
Lied about voting. Lied about turning up to the Birmingham game. What else has he lied about? Who knows? At this point I'd rather trust Jonno's opinion on race relations, or Fishers opinion on the Robbie William's back catalogue than anything Pickles has to say!
