He doesn't trip, he's adjusting his feet because he knows automatically that he wants to use his right foot to clear it... then he realises he hasn't got the time or the angle to wrap his right foot around it to clear it, he panics because now it's too late to use his left as well and tries to back heel it. |  | | |

I dont think its either. Spence just isnt very good and never has been, particularly at defending one on one which is sort of what that was. | |

He did the hard part didn't he! He anticipated the pass and went with the runner, made himself favourite to get to the ball ahead of the Hull player but then just seems to panic by the presence of the striker and didn't have the belief to clear the danger. It's very odd. | | | |

Agreed. Pathetic from Spence. So weak. I'd drop him simply for not having the heart to battle that out. Powder puff. Still fuming at it in truth. It looked weak as p**s from where we were stood but seeing it back on the TV makes it look much worse.
We need players with heart and desire to scrap for everything especially being bottom - Spence hasn't got it in him. Bye Spence. Bring back Donacien. |  |

Spence must wake up in a cold sweat every night though. His wife is a super successful hot actress who lives in LA constantly surrounded by handsome wealthy famous men and who he married at 21 probably before she knew any better, and he is a lower league toiler who can only get a game for a team bottom of the Championship by default. No wonder he can't clear a simple over the top punt, too worried about competing with Zac Efron. | |

Agree Pennington was as bad as Spence for the goals.
Throw in Downes mistakes and not tracking the runner and no forward passes and also Chamno throwing Knudsen under the boss for passing it inside and not following the instruction to put it down the line...
