..while intending to sign it off "Kind regards" that you realise quite how close the "T" is to the "G" on a standard QWERTY keyboard.

Ah!

I have a man in China that does our product testing. He is a lovely man and has one of those foo man choo moustache and beard combos, actually it is quite magnificent.

Anyhoo, I always sign off my emails with Best Rgds but I misspelled Rgds and outlook auto corrected it to Best Beards which I didn't realise until I sent it.

I've experienced a strange tendency to type 'King Regards'. Might come across a tad big-headed...

Thanks all, made me chuckle. Not least because our HR department is having a bit of a, er, let’s say rough time.

Few weeks back they sent a standard email to all applicants for a job saying they’d been successful. Not just the short list, but everyone. Bet that took a bit of unpicking!

Not that long ago I realised that in sending a mail to our VP of finance, I managed to get the second and last letters in his name the wrong way around.

His name is Alan.....

Had a summer job in WH Smith's once and was showing off to a sexy new girl by changing the bottom line of the receipt from 'thank you very much' to 'fcuk you very much'

Forgot to change it back in all the excitement and it stayed that way for over 3 weeks before some snidey customer complained.

I wasn't asked back at Christmas

Dear *****

I'm writing to you today to inform you that you're being evicted from your home and to provide you with a zillion pound bill for some tax you probably don't owe but a decision you can't afford to fight...

Love and kisses

xxxx

I mean, who comes up with this?

I knew where I stood with faithfully. And especially sincerely.

I always assumed that 'sincerely' meant the person/organisation was serious.

In the corporate world a one word sign off is considered hostile isn't it? I swear in all seriousness in my old job we had a course on how to write e-mails with good manners. It made for a fun few weeks as we all changed our signatures to 80s celebrities with one of their catch phrases, and on the subject of catchphrase, I chose Roy Walker

I got pulled in the office and warned to stop replying to emails with my schedule stating, its good but its not right

I'm lucky not to really be in a particularly corporate field any more, I absolutely hate all that self important b0llox from middle aged men in suits.

Dear Guthers,

I think you are probably correct. This is one of those topics I feel quite strongly about and think people who are too lazy to at least Google the bloody rules should be shot.

That'll learn 'em.

Yours sincerely

I usually sign off with either:

‘Cheers in advance,

Or

‘All the best,

Very very rarely do I end an email with anything else

And that's fine isn't it, when you're dealing with your mates et al.

Not when dealing with accountants, solicitors, councils...

I have to say I don’t deal with any of the important people so it’s great

I don’t think I’ve ever emailed a mate. It’s 2018 innit
