| News Comment | Lee: The Boy's Been Brilliant at 13:38:19
Further to my comment above I have had it confirmed by someone who knows that in the Sudbury game where I saw Neil Harris, Crane was playing left back. And the other full back on that day has been signed by Cambridge Utd so my judgement wasn't that far off after all. |

I was at a Sudbury game attended by Neil Harris last season when Crane was playing. To be honest, Sudbury's two teenage full backs stood out most to me, but then I never have been much of a judge of a player. |

If I could upvote this a million times it wouldn't be enough. Well done to all concerned and to those suffering from similar afflictions, you're not alone. |
| News Comment | Fans Around the World Meeting Up for Play-Off Second Leg at 19:32:27
@mickymacsbarmyarmy I'm not certain to be in the club on Saturday as I need to be somewhere in the afternoon and therefore not really drinking. Strictly speaking you do need to be a member (I am) but I doubt anyone will be checking that kind of thing on a Saturday lunchtime. I don't actually know what the story is with signing in guests, whenever I've been in with someone who's not a member no one's actually challenged us about it. |

Well done Phil - couldn't see it was you from my seat on Saturday but guessed it would be. I think that arranging all those Monday night kickabouts up at Essex University was only slightly less of a logistical challenge than 1,000 consecutive Town games. |
| News Comment | The Ex-Files: David Sheepshanks at 12:41:48
Clearly David Sheepshanks will be at pains to give his side of the story in an interview like this and it's great to be reminded of some of the publicy known information as well as pick up previously unknown snippets like the Mart Poom thing - such little things can have a massive effect. The one thing that was really interesting to me was the fact that Bryan Klug was prepared to put his hand up and say we could get promoted in 5 years with the players he had in the academy when everyone was looking at the floor. The fact that Klug was unceremoniously dumped by Keane just illustrates how wrong that man was for our football club. It's great that he's back, I wonder whether he thinks we've got a chance of promotion in 5 years with the current academy crop? I bet we'll never get the chance to find out. |
| News Comment | Naylor Hangs Up Boots and Returns to Leeds at 12:08:39
He scored the only goal away at Port Vale on the day I got married and it was his cultured pass out of defence that led to an equalising own goal away at Coventry on the day my daughter was born. A special place in the memory of me & my wife for Naylor. |
| News Comment | Keane: No Surprise QPR and Cardiff Are the Teams to Beat at 15:14:57
My cousin manages a Suffolk non league side and I've made three trips to the Hawthorns to watch them play. It's interesting to see what aspects of non league football are common to the higher leagues (e.g. relentless criticism of the officials by fans, an unnecessarily loud PA system in Stanway's case) and which are not (the mixing of supporters and players in the clubhouse afterwards, the slightly less than nutritionally valuable post match meal). Sounds like a good book for those who want a different perspective on a Saturday afternoon's entertainment. |
