Has anybody else purchased train tickets and planned on going via Leeds?
Me and a group (stupidly I know) have gone and bought tickets whilst they were mega cheap, despite knowing Northern Rail were striking. However, we did assume they would throw on some form of alternative transport from Leeds to Accrington. Apparently not.
50+ miles from Leeds to Accrington, wondering if anybody else is in the same boat and come up with any plans on how to get to and fro.

I have a chap at work who’s family are all originally from Bangladesh, but he was born and raised in Ipswich. His real name is Mohammed; but when going on the phone speaking to the public he simply refers to himself as “Mo”.
The company send out texts and emails asking for the clients to rate their service and he’s seen an absolute astounding difference on this feedback since just simply saying “Mo” and not “Mohammed”. - Some of the previous comments left after he used to use Mohammed were just utterly wrong. |

I agree preferably a big striker, but could see us going in for Gary Hooper. Not getting game time T the moment!
Other than him, you’ve got the likes of Sam Gallagher, Connor Wickham; but I feel like these would go to clubs higher in the division than us.

I agree with the majority of this and for the record Hurst was my first choice also.
Came into the club with all the right attributes of promising attacking football, trying to win games from the off with high press and being a hard team to beat.
We have seen absolutely none of that this season at all, the football is no better than under McCarthy and we aren’t getting results either.
I have to question why Hurst still feels it’s going to automatically change fortune and work by playing 1 up top leaving Sears and Jackson jumping for headers against 6ft + defenders all game. I also have to question as a successful manager in his career how has he not noticed playing Chalobah and Skuse together isn’t working.
On that note, I also have to question the players. I haven’t seen much stick about the fact that in 90% of games I’ve seen this season; not a single player has stood out for me and taken a game by the scruff of its neck or even shown a bit of passion.
You then can say the squad we have now is fully Hursts squad, so has he brought in players not up to the mark? - Possibly. - Something needs to change though, I’m not sure whether it’s the right thing changing the manager yet; but something needs to seriously give because we are absolutely sh!te. |

One I done recently was a walk from town centre up Spring Road and have a couple of stop offs.
1) The Dove
2) Fat Cat
3) Old Times
4) Brickmakers arms
It might not look far, but majority of it is up hill; very nice to stop and have a pint! |

Im visiting New York next month and the dates coincide with ThanksGiving whilst we’re out there. I was wondering if anybody had any tips or recommendations on places to eat to have the full ThanksGiving traditional dinner.
Also, other than watch the parade if there’s any other things to do on ThanksGiving.
