Town Link Up With Gridiron Legend Brady
Friday, 28th Oct 2022 09:48

Town have become the first UK football club to link up with seven-time NFL Superbowl champion Tom Brady’s wellness brand TB12.

TB12 is a holistic health and wellness company modelled on gridiron legend Brady’s training regimen with long-time body coach Alex Guerrero, the TB12 Method, a series of healthy daily habits based on five pillars: pliability, nutrition, hydration, movement and mental fitness.

Brady is widely regarded as the greatest quarterback of all time, spending 20 years with the New England Patriots and still playing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the age of 45.

“We’re so grateful to be the first UK football club working in partnership with TB12,” Andy Rolls, the Blues’ director of performance, told the club website.

“Their methods and skillset have benefited the recovery of our players and will play a key role throughout the season and beyond.

“We have been lucky to have body coach Chris Sousa (below) working closely with our players and we look forward to continuing our work with Chris and the team at TB12.”

Inspired by the daily habits Brady and Guerrero have established, focusing on performance and recovery techniques applicable to athletes at all levels and those living an active lifestyle, the TB12 Method is a holistic approach to health and wellness that starts with pliability.

“At TB12, we have a unique opportunity to help reshape the way professional sports teams approach injury prevention and recovery,” Greg Perry, TB12 senior vice-president of services added.

“Our body coaches have broad experience working with many of the world’s best athletes across a variety of sports and levels, and what we’ve done for these athletes is the same thing we do for all of our clients — we help them live pain-free and perform their best with an emphasis on pliability.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the sports medicine team at Ipswich Town, giving them access to TB12 body coaches so they can keep their athletes on the field and give their club an edge over the competition.”

The TB12 body coach is in regular communication with the medical team at Playford Road and also conduct bi-monthly visits to assist in the progress and development of the department.

A good thing if it means the team can maintain high intensity for 90+ minutes.

Just so long, Guthers, as we don't end up with ad breaks every five minutes! Only joking, it sounds like a progressive move. (the link up, not the ad breaks)

Unless they add a sixth pillar, alcohol, it's never going to take off in Britain.

I'm actually all for looking at how things work in other countries, when it comes to health and fitness. Some will be rubbish or unsuitable some may add something. The value of TB12? No idea. I wonder if there is a marketing element to this.

Sports science has certainly moved on from the bucket and sponge and tramping round the train8ng pitch.

Perhaps they'll discover the benefit of a fag at half-time, which I think at least one of our legends was keen on.

We have looked a lot fitter this season so whatever the club are doing, and whoever we are linking up with, it's working!

Just looked at TB12 scam, heading wrong for a start.
One thing the guy is saying is that the accessories TB12 are selling on their website can be bought for half the price elsewhere.
The other thing TB12 are saying can be found in multiple other places.
Same common sense, check prices before you buy.
