Has anybody used a meal prep delivery service before/ can they recommend any?

I don’t drive, don’t live immediately near a good grocery shop, and generally don’t have much spare time. If I could get 3-4 of my main meals of the day prepped and sent to me in a healthy fashion, I’d probably do it.

Edit - 3-4 meals a week. Doh!

I haven't used them but Stocked seem to have a good reputation.

I think these are decent as well for quick meals:

I usually use a pouch of those with a pot of microwave brown rice. Very quick.

I have used Gausto, not exactly prepped meals, but easy to follow step by step instructions with all ingredient's delivered. It teaches you about multiple flavours using ingredient's and spices you may not have eaten before by giving you the exact amounts to add. Not sure if this is what you are interested in, but would be worth a try.

Gousto is excellent, but they only do meals sized from two people upwards. Not sure of OP’s domestic situation

Gousto are the best but Hellofresh you can basically get constant deals so cheaper. Think the OP was look for already prepped and no effort cooking. Not used any that do that.

You may have already seen this from Muscle food:

I like this stuff for work days. 21g protein per 100g dry weight. Made from just yellow peas. Very similar to normal pasta IMO: https://zenb.co.uk/pages/agile-pasta

Huel also do some instant pots although i've never tried them.

Huel's instant meals are not too bad. The Mexican chilli one I'm a fan of, the missus likes some of the pasta ones. Low calorie and nutritionally balanced meals and very quick and easy to make. Might be worth giving them a try.

I am not a fitness/meal prep expert by any means but I suspect that if you are having in excess of 4 main meals per day, you probably should cut down on them.

It's common in the fitness community to have smaller meals more often.

4 meals of 500 calories is less than 3 meals of 800 calories. Sorry for the basic maths lesson but obviously it makes a difference.

Worth checking social media. A mate of mine used to make them before his new takeaway business took off. A lot of the lads at the gym were buying them.

Likewise, a local chef doing it for a side hustle might be much better quality per £. Some of the stuff I see shared that way is actually proper food at least.

I do it occasionally if I’m working away for more than a week at a time so I don’t eat out every single night. Try a company called Factor if you don’t want any prep time. Four a day would be pricey though.

Not a meal prep service, but I get stuff from allplants.com every so often.

Some dishes are labelled as high protein.
