Petrol prices 20:45 - Sep 23 with 2872 views | Chrisd | Is it just me or have they shot up again and no one has battered an eyelid? It does feel we are getting shafted and the fact no one complains those prices continue to steadily rise on those garage forecourts.

Petrol prices on 21:00 - Sep 23 with 2795 views | Chrisd | There’s a Shell Garage I pass daily in Abridge, Essex. Diesel was £1.41 a month ago, today £1.62!! Really feel they are taking us all for mugs and the fact we aren’t complaining about it, seems like they see it as an opportunity to keep hiking up the prices.

Cut production of a resource millions of years old that they didn't produce and have no right to. As others have said, it's waffle and a scam.

'Rights' is an irrelevant concept here. It's under land they control, therefore they own it. Maybe Just Stop Oil should head over there and have a word.

£ also fallen in value against $, when Bank of England didn't increase bank rate. On the plus side mortgage rates unlikely to increase, not this month ny way.

It's a totally relevant concept. That which is legal is not necessarily the right moral conclusion. Every other thread on here is trying to hold the Tories to moral account, why can't it be done to countries for extracting the earth's natural occuring resources that is ultimately accelerating its demise.

Haha! Yes. I was being a bit facetious. However, as a general point it is surprising how easy it is to get around in most circumstances without using a car. Not an option for a plumber or anyone else who has to cover heavy loads, or get from job to job quickly. But for those of us who sit on our @rses in front of a computer all day, it is reasonably doable.

Petrol prices on 19:57 - Sep 25 with 1713 views | Edmundo | It's inevitable. I remember my Dad saying it wouldn't be long before petrol was £2 a GALLON shortly after it became £1 a gallon. Now we're close to £2 a litre. Oil prices will rise. We can remain hostages to it, or diversify away. The UK can become global innovators in the shift to a carbon neutral, greener economy. If only we had the leaders...
