No, it's a load of old sh!te. Cook put this squad together, he failed to ever really get them playing as a team, in recent weeks he had them actually playing worse and going backwards. He failed badly last season too. It was absolutely right that he got the sack and it was down to the board too, not to some fans criticising him on a messageboard. | |

I don't disagree here completely, but in his defence if you back somebody to the extent Cook was you're probably not expecting such a spectacular failing. If this was another club (Derby for exmple in recent times) we'd be laughing hysterically at them.

1. The players showed absolutely no signs of playing for him and respecting him near the end. Post Sunderland we've been tragic
2. With our squad we should not be in a worse league position than we were under Lambert last season.
3. We were going BACKWARDS under him. Even Terry Butcher pointed out were scoring earlier in the season and now that's dried up. Our defence has not go better despite the arrival of our best players in Walton and Edmundson.
4. Of good, throw more money at the squad. That's worked so well before.
5. He had six footballing months, two thirds of a season, and 40 players after an overhaul with the same failures exposed time and time again
6. As time went the Doncaster, Portsmouth and Wycombe results were rapidly proven to be flukes rather than the norm
7. Considering the depth of the squad respectability in cup competitions should be the least to ask for
8. Were you at Crewe? Rotherham? Oxford wasn't even that great
