With not a lot else to talk about... 13:14 - Mar 3 with 685 views | hoppy | We need to get a new electric kettle. Recommendations would be appreciated as I've spent ages looking and there's so many to choose from, but reviews go from one extreme to the other. It should be a simple thing to buy. Thanks.

With not a lot else to talk about... on 13:16 - Mar 3 with 652 views | BluedanW | Please don't mention kettles when I am at work. A very touchy subject as we are not allowed to have one, despite the boss having his own in his office.

With not a lot else to talk about... on 13:24 - Mar 3 with 602 views | eireblue | People review kettles? Wait, people read kettle reviews? Hmmm, raises questions, is there a youtube thing of watching kettles boil, or watching people watching kettles boil, and then giving their opinions yet?
With not a lot else to talk about... on 13:29 - Mar 3 with 585 views | jeera | Dispenser or kettle? That is the question. Do you or any other household member often find themselves making a cup for one? To me a kettle is a kettle, just buy one you like the look of that doesn't cost stupid money. For dispensers, I'd definitely read a few reviews and have a good look about first.

Dunno, but there was a programme on the other evening which I mostly missed that featured a hot-air balloon gently flying over the Lake District that looked good. Hardly any speech, just the ballon's burner kicking in here and there. And recently an entire Australian train's journey, (well, condensed into a 3 hour long clip), The Ghan, which was worth a look if you didn't see it. No speech at all, and rather therapeutic and informative at the same time.

Now you've added to the confusion - a dispenser?? I'm just the tea boy, and just need to be able to make a nice cuppa.

Well that has to be the starting point here. It is convenient to fill up and just take one cup as ann when you want it. But I have to say, mine doesn't quite reach the screaming hot temperatures my old kettle used to which is disappointing as I like to let the cup sit awhile and brew. Also I found the very one I have has ranged in price by 15 quid or so which is a lot for a £40 item! So look about. This is important and you need to get this right or your tea boy reputation could be at stake..

Best things ever, the amount of times i used to work from home and building the kettle and then forget because of work. Now tea all day in seconds
