Nolan’s “header” 17:59 - Mar 7 with 3262 viewsBlueNomad

What was he thinking? Why not let it drop and volley it?

I can only think he completely lost his bearings and thought he was further out than he was.

It was the prospect of kicking the ball forward, completely addled his brain!

I can only think he’s completely useless and should be a lot further from the first team than he actually is.

I was directly in line with it. He had time and wasn’t under pressure. Absolutely woeful. I think he was trying to head it over the keeper but it was such a lame effort I can’t be sure.

The new heading coach at fault...Will Keane?

The lads confidence is shot. In and out of the team. Looks a shadow of the player at Shrewsbury.

Would benefit from a move.

He had all the time in the world. He could have done anything else at all and it would have been better than what he did do. It was symptomatic of the whole team though, no-one looked like they knew what to do when they had the ball.

Don't boil a kettle on a boat.

Thought he was miles offside so maybe he did too. P**s poor though. Should have buried it, no question. Lack of confidence is evident. Snatched at another ten minutes later.

Thought he made some good runs today but still majorly lacking in a lot of areas.

There's that and he's not very good.

A Poundland Lee Martin that we paid a Waitrose fee for.

He's better than Judge though.

Can only assume he didn’t realise he had as much time and space as he did.

I appreciate that this will upset some people, but in football terms, I despise Jon Nolan. Not just because of how horrendously he plays for us, but he’s a symbol of the kind of awful players now considered good enough to represent us.

Any of his sisters could have scored that chance

He saw the keeper coming off his line so tried to head it over him, however while Nolan was looking at the ball the keeper retreated and made him look silly.

He looked up and the keeper was rushing out. Then as he was watching the ball drop the keeper stopped and backpedalled.

Not sure if it was a fantastic fake-out by the keeper or he just got lucky.

This. Needs a move, a regular place in the team playing alongside a regular forward line and fellow midfielders or to have to earn his place in the team while someone else has that privilege.

He must be a good player at this level. He has not produced it for us though.

Anything will do syndrome. Just like some of our shots on goal that go wide or straight at the keeper. No composure what-so-ever. He must of known he was too far out to header it.
That ball should of been chested down and then see what the best option was.

If ....(a big if) ....if they can do it in training then why not on the pitch ?
