Yes, PL said that he would go with the young ones again after the last round.

Not many of those that are in that category.

Feel for El Miz and Dobra. They've played really well when called upon, especially in this competition. It is a strong side on paper and some much needed minutes for some of the players out there.

Skuse or Dozzell? Or half each?

If they can't even get any minutes in the EFL trophy then they will both leave soon enough. Good job Lambert.

Yeah my thoughts too, the only offset is that Sears and Bish are back with Dozzell so those two really should be the priority subs (not that injury time and change will help much)

So you'd swap them for Bishop and/or Dozzell...? Okay :)

Take out Nsiala, Skuse and Kenlock for Chambo, Downes and Garbutt and I’d be happy with this line up in a league game.

Hoping Bishop puts in a good showing today especially.

It's the lowest level competition we are in, they both played well in the initial games, yet both Bishop and Sears have been out for months and somehow start the game ahead instead - they should be on the bench and replace them later in the game. It makes no sense. The squad is already huge and not getting game time to the youngsters in even the smallest games is going to kill their confidence in the club and the manager.

I don't agree about Sears and Bishop. Essential they get some game time to get up to speed. They could be vital in a promotion push. Dobbers and El Miz will get their opportunities. As you say though, it's because our midfield is bloated, but a fit Sears and Bishop are more useful than, well, pretty much anyone potentially.

Ok fair enough, but even Norris, a second choice loan goalkeeper, has made just 1 less appearance than both Dobra and El Mizouni combined have.

Not sure Lambert has a first choice keeper, he rotates them randomly. It's also a shaky comparison for the simple reason there are two senior keepers vs eighty six or whatever midfielders. Dobs and Miz will get their chances, and if not will move on. That's football and the same at all clubs. We are slightly unusual with our abundance of midfield options. The only important factor is Lambert working out what system works and sticking with the fooker. I'm pretty sure a settled side and system would not have either Dobs or Miz as regular starters.

We go back to the main point thought which is Bishop and Dozzers are more important to get fit and play than Dob and Miz. I'd like to see one or both of them get on today though.

He'll show flashes before going off injured at some point.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.
