Kier Group 10:49 - Jun 4 with 1403 views | Marshalls_Mullet | 40% share price drop on the back of a profit warning. Awful business model, egotistical board hasnt got a clue what they are doing. No strategy, just chasing badly priced contracts and cashflow. This business is done, I hope no one on here suffers as a consequence of the buffoons that run that shower of sh1te.

Neither is a collapsing share price. £129m profit on a £4.5bn turnover is pitiful, and it only takes a tiny swing for that to be wiped out. Kier are done, this is the start of a slow decline that will see them go into admin within the year.

What is their debt situation like? That's often another thing which is masked by turnover and profitability.

Well last year that admitted that they had miscalculated their debt by £40m, so had to update their accounts!! Not great when you lose track of £40m of debt... wonder why that happened?! They are now at about £180m. Which i understand is higher than their tangible assets.

Agreed, the board wont suffer, despite by hapless morons. I hope the employees flee the sinking ship while they can. Doomed.

There is nowhere to really flee to, and there will be loads in the supply chain that get whacked as smaller companies won't be able to diversify enough to not just work solely for them

Kier Group on 13:29 - Jun 4 with 1001 views | No9 | Why are you surprised that another British contractor is having problems? This is a process that commenced a long while ago & is working its way down. Most major infrastructure projects now rely havily on EU Contractors e.g. Dragados & Bouyges & could this government do anything without bending for Bechtel?

You don't seem to like Kiers, any reason? They were the company that bought out May Gurney, a Norwich based company, so there may be many employees in Norfolk and Suffolk who are employed by them and fear losing their jobs.

May Gurney were a company that relied heavily on the Norfolk County Council for sweetheart deals. As the raods in Norfolk got worse the MG shareprice improved no doubt that was what made Kier buy them?
