reminds me of watching Town under Cook.
Loads of potential, incredibly frustrating, incredibly wasteful.

Whereas watching Luton is more like Under MM. It’s all power and individual battles and loads of percentages which they’ve been very effect at. It’s certainly a team of athlete, not sure about the football side.

…only more successful than MM’s Town teams. Now that’s saying something given every thread has commented how dire that 120 minutes was.

Thought they were better the year they went up from League One than they were today, were very good that season, and we saw enough of them having played them four times.

But that could be down to Luton. Think their approach could trip a few teams up next season, not what Premier League teams are used to playing against these days.

After about 10 games in and Klopp et al moaning Luton will be targeted by refs etc anyway. Suspect they'll recruit well, but how well?

Yes agree Phil.

Thought Coventry played some brilliant stuff last time out at Portman Road.

They beat us 1-0 in our relegation season… and despite us putting up a lot of resistance and gaining a lot of possession. They were just much better on the ball and better coached.

They didn’t look as effective - as in dynamic interlay - today

Agreed. Coventry are a fairly dull, pragmatic team this year. Not especially easy on the eye.

Gives me hope if that sort of quality can get to the play offs.

I think their hoofball may well ambush a few early in the season and as with all teams successful with that style, they are very well organised. I’m not sure too many will fancy the dump that is Kenilworth Road either, especially if the do what Simon Milton said Cambridge did in 1992. Leave only one lightbulb working and water the floor to get your socks wet etc.
