Do you mean "Pretend it's not happening! And don't try to stimulate debate"?
I know. Let’s have another summit where leaders from all the countries on earth meet up, have a chat and promise to do better. Well maybe not China, or India, or USA, or Australia….but apart from them, everyone else.

We should make sure to bring lots of people from the fossil fuel industry too.

Absolutely and let them lobby their hearts out and why not let them discredit climate change as well. Free speech innit.
But to be absolutely clear, leaders should only allow this to happen if those companies allow them to seat on their boards after their political careers are over. Or maybe help buy next stuff instead.

Both your and tonybied's suggestions are fantastic and should be implemented immediately.

And the richest 1pc in the world who are responsible for over a quarter of CO2 emissions on their own. The top 125 Billionaires such as Jeff Bezos (who had the front to turn up previously) have a carbon footprint GREATER than France.
Saving the planet is just for the plebs.

problem is the plebs gather in hordes to celebrate and cheer-on the billionaires as they race about in supercars, jets and indulge themselves in vanity projects such as rocketing off into space.

Together with Russia, China and India who are increasing their carbon output year on year, the UK going Carbon Neutral by 2050, is the equivalent of going from an 80 cigarettes a day habit to a 79 a day habit.

Glad we agree.
Control the controllables, then go from there.

At least we aren’t bound by EU environmental laws now eh…
I think you will find that outsourcing all the nasty , mucky stuff to less important and ideally distant countries was the real environmental coup. They do talk a good talk though even if the evidence on the ground isn't so impressive.
"They break our legs and tell us to be grateful when they offer us crutches."
15 of the 201 countries measured contribute 77% of the pollution. In fact the top three are at 52% alone. China alone is nearly a third. The UK 17th on the list is at just under 1% contribution.
These are figures for 2019, no idea what changes have been made since then, just dont know how it will be possible to change the mindset of the really big contributors as even if the bottom 185 countries were to average 0 it still leaves a massive majority polluting the world. A terrible legacy :(
