Leigh and Camara back is great as well as no Burns in the Wales squad so cant complain too much. Just need to find a way to get through to Jan and the window opening.

The Portsmouth fans will be hating that!

Unfortunate.

Time for Edwards to get the run in the team he's earned now.

Have you seen the size of our squad? Have you listened to the numerous interviews given by the players and manager that this is a competition that they would like to win? Those are the reasons why.

I'm not watching, but sounds like it was just a knock - cool your jets daddio.

Because McK wants to win the cup. He’s not like the losers we’ve had for managers recently.

Looked worse than that, clutching the back of his knee and hobbling off needing assistance in obvious pain praying it’s not an ACL

An injury that could just have easily happened in training..
Frimmers will be along shortly to explain this to you..

That doesn't sound good so fongers crossed for him, but I try not to worry about injuries until they are confirmed - it's the nature of the beast. You can wrap players up in cotton wool and they will still find ways to get injured.

See Dave Beasant vs the jar of salad cream.

Such a lame excuse that, isn't it? By taking our best players out of the firing line tonight it would've been a case of risk mitigation. This competition should be treated with the disdain it deserves. Success this season is promotion and promotion only.

Looks like a few will be shipped out anyway in January. The injury prone ones regardless how good they are. Each window will be better and fitter players

Can you imagine ITFC vs Chelsea U21s at Wembley? Roll up, roll up. As if we've risked our thin forward options again tonight in a game like this. It's going to be our undoing.

Also, if I heard correctly, Aluko (on co-comm) saying he's not too far off returning - which iirc would be sooner than was expected initially.

I fear it was a twist of his knee rather than an impact injury.

The physio let him limp off, which he struggled to do, which wouldn't be the case with a torn ligament, but it really didn't look good and he was clearly in pain.

Could be a bad one that - would imagine a lengthy spell on the side lines.

Really leaves Chaplin & Edwards as them “pocket players”.

Certainly have a really stretched squad right now with absentees;
- Ball
- Evans
- John-Jules
- Aluko
- Harness

Yep, it looked like Evans' injury to me, so I'm calling medial ligaments. Probably back in Feb. So SO frustrating. Why have we let this pointless competition take hold of our season?

You do realise the majority of injuries we've had are nothing to do with fitness, weakness or injury proneness.

Many are impact injuries and from the rigours of day to day football. You can have the fittest strongest player you like. They can still injure themselves in the first game they play.

We've been extremely unfortunate with the severity of injuries this season. For most squads at this level if would probably have ended the season in terms of being competitive.
