Can’t fault him for that.
It does go to show how difficult it could prove to be to get deals done for us. Unless your are paying outrageous figures, Championship clubs can always match what we offer, with obvious greater incentive of Championship football.
I don’t want us to over spend so I don’t have any issues with losing some deals to Championship clubs.

This is the key point; whilst we have a higher budget there are a number of factors players are going to consider before moving down here;
- if they are based in the north west, then what’s the attraction of moving other side of the country
- its not all about the money
- yes itfc an attractive proposition and big club in this league, but
- we may well be able to compete with smaller championship clubs in these parts (but location in this case and size of club may be against us otherwise) | |
