Would you buy a town kit with advertising as prominent as this?

We all accept that wearing a replica shirt also means being a walking advert to an extent, but usually the sponsorship is secondary to the football shirt. In Huddersfields case, the sponsorship is the primary feature. Not sure they will sell many!

That said, this is Paddy Power, and could easily be a ploy for headlines... which they have got.

It breaks sponsor regulations so whether it's a joke or not it won't be worn next season.

I feel sorry for Huddersfield becoming another marketing division of Paddy Power.

Anyway I absolutely would not buy anything like that for Town.

You have answered your own point - it's a humorous publicity stunt. Not sure Town have any reserved seats on the moral high ground as they advertise an unknown betting firm presumably being run by a schoolboy from his bedroom in his mum's house in gibralter and an offshore ticket tout.

How does it break regulations? I’m sure the PP advert doesn’t take up any more room than the sponsor Middlesbrough had a season or two ago?

Well the FA have contacted them about it so they're very close to breaking the regulations at least.

There is a maximum size apparently, and it breaks those rules.

There was no 'moral high ground' element to the OP.

Yes, I know there’s a maximum size... but I don’t think the PP logo is taking up any more of the shirt that the one ‘Boro has a couple of years ago.

Still think it’s all a publicity stunt and the real shirt will be revealed soon.

What are they thinking? It's hideous and makes the kit all about the sponsor. Terrible!

I suspect it will be altered when it goes on sale.

.....I don't think this is a publicity stunt, but knowing PP it may be - if it is they have gone all in with website, shop etd.

And it looks f*cking dreadful, embarrassing

They know it doesn't meet regulations criteria. They also know that they'll get loads of publicity. Job done.

For Paddy Power sure. Not sure I'd be pleased with my club being used this way if I was a Huddersfield fan though.

Rubbish as Magical Vegas is they don't pull stunts like this.

No doubt this has all been meticulously planned by PP.

They'll drag this out until such a point as the FA forces them to change the design, whereupon they'll back down. But not without having had many hundred column inches of coverage before that point.

Fans don't count, surely everyone understands that by now...

In terms of promoting Paddy Power the publicity getting the brand name "out there" it's done it's job nicely, making their investment in 'uddersfield worthwhile.
