Not entirely true. Dubbers pointed out that Gerks had made some fine saves earlier, and I think this is the only thread pointing out the howler.
So 'no mention' - not true

I don't get it. For some reason you want to believe that there is some great groundswell of opinion against Gerks.
There isn't.

Strangely I can't remember the same groundswell of criticism against Bialkowski despite mistake... after mistake... after mistake...
I do think the fans are far happier to jump on Gerken's back after an error and defend Bialkowski whatever. Whilst Gerken's mistake cost us a goal they were going to equalise eventually - that second half was a joke. | |

Gerks is a fantastic shot stopper, up there with the best in the league, but his box dominate is always and always will be very very poor, a massive flapper for crosses, if he comes at all for them. Today optimises what Gerken is all about.
Bartosz Bialkoski is our best keeper, quite possibly the best keeper in the league over the last 3 years, and we need our best players on the field right now. |  |
