Al-Hamedi changed the game! 08:55 - Apr 2 with 1313 views | jungleboy | Southampton were very much in control and then Ali Al-Hamedi hit the post after a skilful play. The Town and the crowd suddenly thought " Hey. We can win this." And how we did win it!

He was excellent. Has that big diagonal ball that he can pull out, much like Lee Evans used to do, only Taylor has the added benefit of being more mobile.

Al-Hamedi changed the game! on 09:28 - Apr 2 with 960 views | ghostofescobar | He is very different to Moore, in that his control under pressure is currently not great, so he just couldn’t seem to get the ball to stick with his back to goal, so we lose that outlet. But he has got an engine on him and you can see that he is slowly being moulded into how KM wants his front man to play. Good pace to him. I think he is still very raw, but he’ll get better, and his energy definitely contributed to the crowd being lifted.

You're thinking of a different incident. [Post edited 2 Apr 9:31]

I think in that attack he was delaying to give Hutch time to catch up, but he never seemed to get there. Still should've done something though! | | | | Login to get fewer ads

To be fair, the defender did an excellent job of keep that pass option closed off.

Al-Hamedi changed the game! on 10:07 - Apr 2 with 686 views | BloomBlue | He still needs to work on his hold-up play, but he kept giving them problems which given where he started the season to give a team in the prem last season problems is excellent for the future. Also credit to how he took that ball and beat two defenders, it was only his left foot that slipped which prevented it being a goal.

He slipped as he shot, and that might have made a difference.

That was a different attack. There was one where he hit the post, and one where he broke but lacked the final ball. To be fair, I think Chaplin could have passed it to Hutch rather than swinging at it too.
