FRIDGE = BEAST on 21:37 - Jan 13 with 2081 views | Stewart27 | He is absolutely superb. Every single time he steps in he is amazing. Imagine being a player who plays once every 10 games or so but looks like a player who plays in our system week in, week out. Then imagine a fan base who thinks that Edmundson should be sold because he only plays once every 10 games. The guy is wonderful. Full credit to him, KM and the coaching team for him being on point every time he plays.
FRIDGE = BEAST on 21:38 - Jan 13 with 2074 views | ArnoldMoorhen | He's: Decently strong for a Champ Central Defender Decently good in the air for a Champ Central Defender Times his tackles very well Reads the game exceptionally well Is calm Distributes the ball sensibly But: Is not the quickest I would say the list above would be similar to that for John McGreal circa 2000, for example.
FRIDGE = BEAST on 21:41 - Jan 13 with 2050 views | SuperKieranMcKenna | It’s interesting that there was rumours of him leaving in this window. But he’s really stepped up and looked so solid. If he keeps it up, Burgess will be frighting to get his spot back!
FRIDGE = BEAST on 21:47 - Jan 13 with 1992 views | Garv | We're almost half way to having a 'comeback XI' with the likes of Vas, JD, Burgess, Jackson and now Edmundson. Not that I really think Edmundson actually counts. He's always been more than good enough for us. But he's had to bide his time.

He had a very serious injury, and Burgess has done everything right to keep his place. It's worked out very nicely that he has returned to full fitness a couple of weeks before Cam had to head off.
FRIDGE = BEAST on 00:09 - Jan 14 with 1681 views | ReusersTown | He was brought in to be the main centre back originally, and was pre injury. Have always thought he was at least good enough for the championship. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

He did have a period when his form, and it seemed his confidence dropped off quite a bit. But I have always liked Edmundson and rated him quite a bit above burgess due to his distribution and being a bit more comfortable on the ball. (Admittedly, burgess has improved both those aspects of his game under Mckenna and has been fantastic this season).

FRIDGE = BEAST on 07:04 - Jan 14 with 1378 views | PioneerBlue | Certainly one of his high level performances for us. Agree on the distribution to Leif on several occasions it was noticeable as was his stepping into space in opposition half when we are pinning them in. Good performance, needs 20 odd more of them!

Re Fridge and his distribution to Leif Davies, he's really got quite a special ping to his pass and usually absolutely spot to where Davies can just carry on into his stride and get beyond the first covering midfielder, yester it enabled him to actually get himself motoring inside and he could really have had a couple of shots he got that deep into them.

FRIDGE = BEAST on 09:32 - Jan 14 with 1105 views | Herbivore | Apart from the Plymouth game where I thought he looked a bit off it, he's been excellent every time he's been asked to step into the first team this season. If he maintains last night's level then Burgess isn't going to be walking straight back into the side by any stretch and that's a great problem for us to have. Think Fridge became a bit of a forgotten man by our fans because Woolf and Burgess have stepped up so well and were key to our run at the end of last season.

Yes. Was noticeable how often Davis was right on the touch line, thirty yards ahead and Edmundson swung a right-footed pass hard and perfectly to feet for Davis. A subtle benefit of that as opposed to it coming from a left footed pass is that the angle of the ball curling in to Davis is more from the middle of the pitch than up the side line, and thus gives him better visibility of the defender coming to close him down as he's receiving the ball.
