So if Paul Cook was to be sacked or resign - who do we think would be a good choice for Ipswich? I think the Clubs owners and Ashton have got to be looking at their options now surely?
I thought I would avoid adding the usual Burley/Dyer/Holland/Chambers nonsense and look at realistic options with a decent enough record at this level that would fit the bill.

Long shot - Rob Edwards, the Forest Green manager?
Cook out.
That would be a Paul Hurst wildcard appointment, not saying I know all too much about him but I think we do need someone who knows this rotten league well, I mean Cook should know it but I think Leam Richardson may well have been a bit of a backseat driver during Cooks career...
Neil Critchley has done a phenomenal job at Blackpool getting them promoted in his first full season and playing some lovely slick football at the top end of the Championship after only 18 months in charge. So I clicked him. But we wouldn't get him.
Not a dinosaur please. If we genuinely want to improve season on season, I think we need to unearth our own next breakthrough manager. We couldn't do that under Evans but we've a chance to now with a better team in the background. Someone in the Critchley mould maybe - a coach who's spent 5-8 years growing in the age group teams at the top level. It's working for the likes of Blackpool, worked with managers like Rodgers and to a lesser degree Cooper down here. None of this 'must have been promoted from this league before' bollox we had under Evans - that pool is ridiculously small. Use experience & judgement to find someone suitable, irrespective of previous success.

Lots of support for Liam Manning - but did you know he was born in Norwich? If looking for a punt, then what about James Rowe at Chesterfield?

Mowbray for me too.
Second choice JImmy FH. Knows the game, has done a great job at Burton and was never given much of a chance at QPR.
Jimmy did a phenomenal job for Burton last season. Cook did a phenomenally bad job with Ipswich. And hasn't done much better in terms of results this season.
