In the U.S. alone, the flu (not coronavirus) has caused an estimated 36 million illnesses, 370,000 hospitalizations and 22,000 deaths this season, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
World wide it causes about 500,000 deaths a year.
Millions die of starvation.
We have less than 200 deaths.
We need to get a sense of perspective.

The flu false equivalence is one perpetrated by morons without an understanding of the science and I am tired of rebuffing.
You do think rather a lot of yourself though, belittling people you don't know with regards to their qualifications because they don't agree with you, the implication being that because you're a lawyer you're smarter than them.
To quote myself in our previous exchanges:
"For someone who spends a good percentage of their time telling us about their intelligence and their success through hard work you don't half talk a load of simplistic sh*te."

Keep up. 'Thinking', 'feeling' and 'believing' are the new knowing.

We need to know the life expectancy of all of the deceased prior to the testing of CV.
The media really must stop showing empty shelves, it is in no way the true picture.
How many of those who have died were already in hospital?
Well...I can safely say in N Essex the local Co Op, Sainsburys, Iceland, Aldi and M&S all have empty shelves....not all shelves but more than just one or two.
Covid-19 is def affecting those with underlying health issues in terms or mortality.
You only need look at Imperial London paper from last week and the recent WHO data and announcement to see just how many are need hospital treatment...which was always the overriding concern here.

Whatever gets you through this buddy.
But what you cooking for dinner?
I went to a wedding once next to a farm, me and my brother spent about an hour running around a field in the dark attempting to catch a sheep that we could leave as a surprise for the happy couple in the bridal suite.

Yeah lovely, thanks. We're a 5 min walk from the park, so that's nice when you can't do much else.
We nearly bought there in 2005, but everywhere we went for was riddled with damp. Loved the triangle, shame you can’t make use of it all currently, but eventually...
If 50% of the US gets it. 10% need hospital (18.5m). and 2% of those die (370,000) that is massive. Even if many others dont die or the mortality rate doesnt rocket as a result of healthcare systems being totally overloaded- which is clearly a very real prospect.
You need a sense of perspective.
The presence of those seeking the truth is infinitely to be preferred to the presence of those who think they've found it.

Its more contagious and more deadly than Flu.

To put some actual numbers on that:
According to the Wiki article on coronavirus, the death rate is about 4% (for diagnosed cases).
In contrast, the US government estimates that 0.1% of people who had flu in 2018/19 died (34,200 deaths from 35.5m cases).
The equivalent deaths from coronavirus at 4.1% would be nearly 1.5 million.

That in itself isn’t right though CJ, diagnosed cases are a fraction of unknown degree of infections. Until we can test who has had it, we won’t know this.

Mea culpa. I guess this means the actual death rate is likely to be quite a bit lower?
