Not overly impressed that the earlier message re abuse was essentially ignored. Given that ample warnings have been given re abuse (and I'll add winding-up and stirring up ancient rows to that) no one - whether a long-term poster or otherwise - can have any complaints if they're banned. Not going to have my time wasted by abuse reports and related PMs.

I don't disagree but after yesterday I am going to speak up and say that false accusations are also in that category too. I come to learn my name has been getting batted around the inner circles of that situation and simply won't be quiet when that game of chinese whispers has become so out of hand that innocent parties are being accused of boblocks they have no part in whatsoever.
I’m not really in any inner circles to be honest.
I have met a variety of posters from here, and found each and every one of them to be lovely people.
The digging up of personal lives on here is appalling. From people emailing posters work about their posting on here, to sending wedding photos.
It’s utterly dreadful behaviour of supposed adults.
I wonder when it really started to descend into this? Brexit?

Historically I like to think we often reach the similar conclusion on matters and hopefully you'll realise that I wasn't having a pop at you, or anyone, but merely standing up for myself following yesterday's lapse of judgement towards myself, again, not by your doing.

It is a bit of a heated time with the added stress of the holidays. Hopefully not many. Are you on dry land this christmas or are you going to be out wage slaving on the choppy waters?

Another Christmas spent at sea. Well on the ship. No idea where we will be though.
Home in January at some point, again, no idea when as we have no schedule at the moment.

In a less noble situation I fully agree. I was away in the states for a good decade in the name of logistics management and came back a resentful mess for a while as a result. I'm sure you'll have a whale of a time when you get back, pun intended.

Board badly needs a proper "block" facility that users can put in place themselves - would mean that individuals who target other individuals then simply wouldn't be able to see anything posted by thir targets to aim at. If they registered alt log-ins to try & get round that, the target could just block those too.
