We had a big debate on these either last year or the year before. I remember saying they were tacky but my stance has softened. I wouldn't want to wear one but they seem to be 'official' and all profit goes where it's supposed to go. My new irritation is the ebay sellers who sell poppy based jewellery with no mention of where the profit goes.

We have a big debate on it every year. I've softened. I still think marketing trinkets off the back of remembrance is tacky and don't see why football and remembrance need to go together at all. But each to their own. Live and let live an all that, as long as it comes the other way and we don't have to put up with the poppy-ism that CIL talks about.
