You'd have thought a guy with a track record of misconduct and lying would at least be barred from standing for positions of high public office while yet more allegations are investigated. But then morals, honesty and integrity don't seem to be as important as beating the other side or serving one's supporters and pay masters.

You're accusing the British judiciary of being politically biased. Quite a strong claim if you have no evidence. Get real.

"Pure political stunt. Judge should be embarrassed." You seem to be suggesting that any outcome would be based on political bias from the judge rather than independently weighing up evidence.

Ah. Now I ‘seem’ to be. The case and crowdfunding was politically driven in my opinion. The judge’s embarrassment is down to his poor decision. It can be argued this amount of money is sent. Some comes back by rebate. At regards the NHS that simply says it could be spent as it could. If we are going to charge politicians with lying I would rather bring a case against someone who took us to war under false pretences than this nonsense. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

You missed out 4 "Britain would be at the “back of the queue” for a US trade deal". Presumably because the jury is still out on that one.

Nice of you to forgive and dismiss Blairs approach to the Iraq War like that. Very magnanimous of you. I'm not sure I could be so tolerant of abuses of public office.

If he loses, he could take his case to the European Court of Justice.

That's wasn't a lie it was a deliberate fabrication of no evidence for personal wealth. He didn't even look at the details the US claimed they had, that was treason not a lie and why he should be hanging from a rope.

I'm not sure he will be voted in to lead anyway - he's already got the party infighting again which could well split them finally. & he is telling porkies over the EU - again

"You could claim everyone on each side of the debate made false claims." If you read the case files you will see that the 'Prosecutor' & his legal team did in fact look at both sides and the personnel. No doubt they selected the individual wto prosecute where they thought they had the best chance of winning.

It was wrong, as is this. Brexit is a whole exercise based on fabrication and distortion of the truth for personal gain and wealth.

350m a week is on the idea of giving 18 bn. We actually end up paying 9 bn. He's 175 bn out. That's counts as a lie. He didn't say we "could". He said "Let's" which under any interpretation means we can, as in it's feasible (not at all true), that he has the authority to do so (certainly not) and he genuinely has the political will to do so (definitely not). Lie and Lie. As for Blair, I left Labour after Iraq and haven't gone back. I'm sickened by that.
