I think the OP was trying to highlight that you have to have the ability to make a pass of that quality and was applauding it. Appreciate your argument, but you still need the passing ability and vision to be able to execute a pass of that quality. It certainly wasn't a hopeful punt forward, it was a terrific pass that exploited the fullback being out of position. [Post edited 6 Mar 2019 13:14]

Its a bit patronising how much is being made of this pass.
The pass literally went to the full back, but the full back made a hash of it. It wasn't executed that well in reality.
Good vision though, I actually thought the second goal was by far the best piece of football in that match. | |
