Left midfield 16:39 - Oct 1 with 1733 views | TractorJack | So far we've tried Ward, Sears, Graham, Edun, Harrison and Rowe and Roberts from the bench. Obviously we have seen more of some than others but at the moment there seems to be no real stand out. I was hoping Ward would kick on after a really good second half against Brentford but he hasn't matched that level in the following two games. Do we think anyone can nail it down?
Left midfield on 16:44 - Oct 1 with 1708 views | Darth_Koont | Graham or Edun for me. Although I think Edun should also be challenging for Nolan's position at the moment. They look like the only two players we have at present who can keep the ball in the attacking third and/or link up with their teammates. Jackson gets a free pass as he does link up or do something on the ball the rare times he gets given it on the ground or into space.

Left midfield on 17:30 - Oct 1 with 1614 views | No_Moore_Kieffer | I think Edwards on the left, with Ward on the right. They both seem to be far more comfortable that way around, as we saw against Brentford in the second half.
Left midfield on 17:34 - Oct 1 with 1603 views | Currie10 | It's been a horror show this century. Le Pen + Civelli straight off the bat. Fraser injured / Celina not tried there enough, Keane didn't play Townsend much. Tabb / Tunnicliffe / Quinn shoved there. Low and behold, issues again this season. Just what is it about left midfield and us? Ruddy curse.

Agree Edwards played on the left for Posh.
Left midfield on 17:52 - Oct 1 with 1562 views | No9 | The fact midfield per se has been a problem in Towns' teams for several years now raises all sorts of questions about team management

Alan mahon was the one player who really excelled there, just a shame we couldn't afford him permanently

Not bad at all ( i have the orange shirt with Westlake 33 from back then ) Agree about Mahon being the standout.

Left midfield on 20:24 - Oct 1 with 1360 views | Nthsuffolkblue | A radical suggestion but if we can't get anyone to work there, can we go with 3 in the middle, Edwards in a free role where he can turn up on either wing and some version of 2 up front? Makes it less predictable for the opposition to defend against but also runs the risk of a lack of shape and not giving enough protection to the full backs. Of course the most consistent we have had was Sears. He did not offer as much going forward as we would have liked but it was an effective system overall. It is notable that we have been seeking that left sided player for so long now.
