So my manager is on holiday this week leaving me and my colleague in the office.

We needed a figure for something so knew the manager would have an email about it ( she allowed us access to her inbox for the week)

anyway, going through the emails, i found one about me.

On it, it shows that she saw that my linked in was saved on my computer and that she went through my messages and found that inbetween me leaving my last role and joining this one, i tried something at home which tbh after a week realised it was a no goer, anyway, she's emailed the big boss saying she went through my messages and saw that i did this.

No idea why, and feel really violated that she's gone onto my computer, clicked on messages and then scrolled down to even see these messages.

how to raise this next week............ am i know different because i've come across her email by looking at her emails??

Waka waka eh eh

well if shes your manager shes allowed to go through your mails
at the same time, you had access granted, so you can go through hers

best thing to do is changed your linked in to "mind your own business you nosy cow"

E mail to yourself on a delayed delivery so you appear to receive it on her return.

I'd suggest that if she's your manager, she can go through your emails/correspondence if it's on a work PC/laptop however you only had access to specific work-related items on her PC and not those which were private/confidential (even if they were related to yourself).

To be honest, they don't even need access to your computer. You can be sure your emails are being watched.

From my understanding, she accessed his LinkedIn rather than his e-mails?

How odd. Sounds like she hasn't got enough work to do.

So what if you tried something while you weren't employed there. Its nothing to do with them.

If she kicks up a fuss about it take an axe to her car while repeatedly shouting "this is what happens when you fk a stranger in the arse".

I can only tell you what I would do. Firstly not mention it to work colleagues, even if they are mates. Personally I'd do nothing to let her know that you aware of what she has done. That said I'd be miffed as you are and would certainly be guarded in my dealings with her in the future and what I used the works pc for. It may well come to light in the future prompted by her in any case you are aware of how she knows.

Pretty much this.

But also put a new entry in your LinkedIn saying you spent 3 years as an assassin specialisising in knocking off successful businesswomen, just in case the nosy bint looks again.
