The Bishop injury makes this an even harder deal to do for Town. He's under contract and, unless theres a release cause, simply tell him he's staying! If he wanted a move to the championship he should have put it in his contract. |
| News Comment | Parker Among Interviewees at 20:35:50
Yes! I have my doubts about Hurst and Ross. Lack premier league connections and prem loans are presumably still part of the plan. Parker the pick of the ex top players. Natural leader, intelligent, inspirational and would definetly sort out our ball shy midfield. Seriously ambitious player and I think he could be a top manager. |
| News Comment | Town Linked With Boro Midfielder Guedioura at 11:46:50
One of the best CMs in the championship a couple of years ago. Always hoped we might get him at some point so personally would be well pleased if we can get him. |
| News Comment | Pitman Close to Joining Portsmouth at 10:54:19
Never got the "skillful no.10" label. Ive never seen him beat a man, hes got no tricks and no great vision. The bloke's just a half decent finisher who spends have the game sucking up to opposition players. Mick needs a nasty big fella. Pleased about Tunnicliffe too - he would only hamper Dozzell's progress. |
| Blog Comment | Three Players Town Should Sign at 19:02:50
Interesting view on some potential young signings. Some championship players Ive been impressed with at portman road recently are: Defender - Jake Cooper - Reading Very tall, dominant, left footed centre half. Had Murphy in is pocket at Portman Road and seems to be out of favour at Reading. Midfield - Ryan Woods - Brentford. What a player this lad is. Deep midfielder who can run the show and put his foot in. Probably out of our price range but was very impressive. Striker - Danny Ward - Rotherham. Gave Berra as tough a time as anyone. Proper number 9, good in the air, decent strike and an all round handfull - would suit Mick. Id be happy with any of these! Id also be happy with a manager who told Skuse he has to get the ball of the back 4 - genuinely believe that would solve alot of our problems. |
| News Comment | Pitman and Bru Can Leave Town at 11:00:53
Pleased about this. Defintely time for Bru to move on and Pitman's performance against Derby was worthy of being sacked there and then. |
| News Comment | Berra Linked With Town Exit and Return to Hearts at 16:43:00
Been a brilliant player for us. Feelhes been unlucky recently with ever mistake he makes costing a goal. If he goes we should go for Jake Cooper at Reading - brilliant young left footed centre half. |
| News Comment | Newcastle Eyeing McGoldrick at 09:12:27
Pick him or lose him Mick. He's probably the best no.10 in the league and spends too much time on our bench. I like Freddie as much as everyone else but the team needs Mcg if we want to keep the ball better and go up a level. |
| News Comment | Newcastle and Fulham Linked With Murphy at 13:20:57
Murphy is class and wont be sold. If we can get Murph and McG fit at the same time they will be amongst the best in the division. Weve seen the alternative of Pitman and Sears alot and lets be honest theyre not in the same category. |
| News Comment | Foley on Trial at Charlton at 08:15:27
Put in the best CM performance last season. But the squad is being embelished with a whole bunch of youth players this season. MM really doesnt have to get numbers just quality. |
| News Comment | Murphy: Euros the Highlight of My Career at 19:28:24
Well done Murph. Top top championship player. Beggars belief some supporters want rid. How much would it cost to get a better championship striker than big Murph? Personally Im proud he's part of our team. If him and Dids can stay fit they will tear the championship up again. We all know their injury problems but a club in our financial position cannot pass up the potential those two offer us. |
