No Jackson Red Card Appeal
at 16:20:42

I think we’ve all been there where the game’s not going your way, something happens and the red mist descends. Difference is we’re not being paid thousands like he is. Kayden will learn the hard way and have to suffer another season in Lg1.

Earl: There Are a Lot of Points Left to Play For
at 22:10:42

Unlucky Josh, you must have drawn the short straw to speak after the latest miserable defeat! The script is as familiar as the poor performances. Every game has been massive since the beginning of this poor run but it’s not made any difference. When it’s too late to reach the playoffs then what will they say?

To not get promoted from Lg1 would be a failure, to not even finish in the playoffs would be a complete disaster. I don’t know how to fix this but worryingly neither does Lambo. The misery for us fans continues for yet another season.

Never go back is my motto as it’s seldom as good second time around. We need to keep Woolfie as he is better than Smith, Webster and Clarke imho.

Second Op For Norwood But Back Before the End of the Season
at 16:53:47

James will be a big miss (no pun intended) as we need everyone fit for the remainder of the season. This puts a lot of pressure on Kayden as Keane and Freddie aren’t really banging them in. Get well soon James, we need you!

I predicted right at the beginning of the season we would finish with 74 points and I think that’s still going to be about right and just enough for a playoff place.
Cov and Pompey just don’t look like losing so I’m predicting they get the automatic places and then Roth, Slum, Posh and us 3-6th with Wycombe missing out on goal difference. As they’ve beaten us so convincingly twice already this season, facing Rotherham in the playoffs doesn’t fill me with optimism.

Vincent-Young Back Out on the Grass
at 22:51:29

Judging by the amount of time it has taken for other players to properly return to action after long-term injuries, I don’t expect to see KVY until the end of March but good to see him on the road to recovery. He, Garbutt, Woolfie and Flynnidine ZeDownes have been our best players thus season and Kane could be the only one of those at the club next season if we’re not promoted.

Ipswich Town 4-1 Burton Albion - Match Report
at 19:39:17

Well that was the reaction that we’ve all been waiting for. Judging by the other teams above and immediately below us, we need to go on a long unbeaten run until the end of the season and win the majority of them. We play so much better with Garbutt in the team so hope he stays fit now.

Judge and Jackson’s confidence should be sky high after getting a brace apiece so no more tinkering with the team please Mr Lambert.

How ironic that Toto is still doing his best to mess up our season after we loaned him out by gifting a goal to Wycombe and bet he plays out of his skin when Bolton come to Portman Road.

Lambert Still Targeting Top Two
at 13:38:16

Fed up with all the words from manager and players, they should do their talking on the pitch and earn the astronomical money they are being paid. Lambo’s PR exercise will only be worthwhile if it comes with success on the pitch otherwise all the momentum will quickly erode away and home and away attendances will drop. Let’s beat Burton and get our promotion push back on track. COYB!

AFC Wimbledon 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report

It’s not only Norwood that is lacking in confidence it’s the whole team! Without Garbutt and KVY we lack any creativity and have no one to exploit dead ball situations. Season over in my opinion as we are finding our natural level - mid-table!

Wilson: Tough One to Take But Positives From Performance
at 19:16:34

The words are the same, they’ve just changed the picture of who said them. I don’t accept any of these excuses, simple reason for these losses is that our manager is tactically weak, he doesn’t do his research on the opposition, he doesn’t pick the right team to start, he doesn’t know how to change things during the match if things aren’t going our way and he doesn’t know when to put his hand up and say we were poor and kick some backsides. Where’s the hunger in the team? Even Norwood has lost his fight, his passion, he’s become just like the rest of the team -absent for large parts of the game.

Sunderland 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:18:13

It was always going to be automatic promotion or nothing for us this season as we are too soft to win a playoff competition and I’m afraid we aren’t getting automatic promotion now. This year we had Downes and Woolfie but they won’t stick around next season and who can blame them. We need a mass clear out of all the dross and build a side like Rotherham or Pboro with some grit, strength and firepower up front.

Edwards: Posh Defeat Has Hurt Everyone at the Club
at 20:30:53

Well Gwion you obviously drew the short straw this week on giving the lame post-match interview. Well, you won’t personally be able to do anything to redress the situation for the next two matches as you are suspended so you will be sat watching the games just like us poor fans who have to suffer this embarrassment week in week out.

Just like last season it’s the hope that’s kills you and at the moment there is still hope that we can secure promotion but with every week that goes by it’s looking less realistic.

Lambert: We Lost to the Better Team
at 23:09:38

So avoiding a fine from Wolves is more important than getting promotion? What a load of nonsense! We should play Holy as he is our keeper and with Bart gone, he is our future between the sticks and the better all round keeper in my opinion.

With Garbutt out for a few games and KVY not back til next month, I can’t see us turning this around until automatic promotion is out of sight. We’ll be lucky to get in the play-offs.

Chambers: Home Improvement Vital
at 18:19:42

I’m not that concerned that other teams have strengthened their squad and we haven’t as I believe our squad is more than good enough to get promotion as it is but they have to create more chances and have more attempts on goal. If we can pick up a few points from the next two games we then have a chance to keep pace and hopefully get ahead of the chasing pack in the remaining fixtures

Bialkowski Set to Join Millwall on Permanent Basis
at 12:33:15

Sorry to see Bart go as he was an excellent keeper for us until Paul Hurst arrived.

Hope the money is spent on signing Luke Garbutt permanently as he has been instrumental in most of our goals when he has been on the pitch this season. Plus we need another goalie once Norris’ loan ends. If Blackpool offer a decent amount for Nolan I would be happy to see another Hurst signing disappear.

Lambert: £10m-Rated Woolfenden Still Just as Laid-Back
at 16:44:17

I know one or two players don’t make a team but you have to trade off the negative impact of selling players like Downes and Woolfenden will have on our chances of achieving promotion vs the short-term income we’d get from selling them. In my opinion, we should hold onto them for the rest of this season and maximise our promotion chances and if we succeed they’ll be worth more as Championship players if/when we choose to sell them in the future.

Ipswich Town 4-1 Accrington Stanley - Match Report
at 19:49:32

Fantastic win lads. The table looks so much better again tonight and I think the real contenders for promotion are now starting to show their hand - Rotherham, Sunderland, Coventry, Pompey and us. A win against Oxford would show some real intent as we haven’t beaten a top 6 team yet.

Will Lambo be tempted to bring back Skuse for the start of the Oxford game and if he did, who would he replace on today’s performance? I for one hope he doesn’t tinker with the team now.
