| News Comment | Barton: McKenna a Man Under Pressure at 13:01:46
Oh feck off, Barton, you arrogant thug. One day he's going to assault someone and get sent down for it. He can keep his brother company. |
| News Comment | Bent: He Volleyed Him Straight in the Jaw at 12:17:12
I remember at the time people were searching for clues about why our start to 2001/02 was so poor. All sorts of rumors were flying around including affairs with players wives and fall outs between others. Needless to say, people at the time wondered if it was deliberate on Counago's part. It was all part of the madness of that time. Re: Yorkieblue's comment - Yes, it's heartbreaking to have to admit it, but so many of our issues over the last 20 odd years stem from was done and not done in that season. Players, manager, chairman from that period gave us so much to be happy about and thankful for in the seasons leading up to August 2001, but in different ways they inflicted the initial wound that eventually led to us bleeding out around late 2020. We're on a transfusion now at least. |
| News Comment | Nolan Set For Town Exit at 20:22:15
Nolan performed for us like the second coming of Stuart Slater: nervous, inhibited, disinterested. What a mediocre, shambolic influence he had here. He can get off to Grimsby ASAP, that's his level after all. |
| News Comment | Lambert: Different Game Against Hull at 09:27:53
Kiwi Tractor - Hull are unbeaten in the last 13 matches with us, winning 10 of them. Our last win was the final day 1-0 win over them in 2007/08 when we just missed out on making the Championship playoffs (it used to happen, kids) |
| News Comment | Raggett Admits Winner Shouldn't Have Counted at 21:35:55
It takes the mickey -everyone after the event saying they were lucky/wrong. Lambert ought to make a formal complaint so that the refs/Lino's get downgraded for a month. |
| News Comment | Lambert: Referees' Chief Told Me It Was Never a Red Card at 10:54:50
You can't guarantee that Dozzell won't regain his place? Give over, Paul. As for the suspension: a decision made by a clown has been upheld by a panel of clowns. I am getting sick and tired of seeing these outrageous and wrong game changing decisions being taken against us in big games. It needs investigating, especially if referees and their bosses are admitting to the mistakes afterwards. |
| News Comment | Premier League Offering EFL Clubs Grant of Less Than £50m at 12:16:19
You can only look at the comments of Sean Dyche and Steve Parish and laugh or you'd cry. Burnley and Crystal Palace are both clubs which are one bad decision away from getting relegated back into the structure they're both now trying to shut the door on. It's human nature, I suppose that they're trying to be protectionist but disappointing to see how far they've become removed from where they came from. |
| News Comment | Morris Suffers Second ACL Injury at 08:40:03
Point of order PencilPete - Dozzell has only suffered the one serious injury for us, which he recovered from nearly 2 years ago. Whether he should have played more over the last 2 seasons is a matter for debate, but it hasn't been injuries that have limited his game time since October 2018. |
| News Comment | Holland: Without Owner's Backing I'd Be Worried About Administration at 22:06:19
Evans funding the club during a pandemic is the least he can do because he's been a liability for this club for at least 5 years. We're fortunate that he's not a crook or asset stripper, yes. But we're screwed because he is a complete incompetent who has got virtually every major decision or judgement call wrong. Poor judgements, poor decisions, poor hiring, passivity when we were in a strong position and seemingly happy to reward ongoing failure. When the gates open, sing it loud and proud Town fans “WE WANT EVANS OUT, SAY WE WANT EVANS OUT!” |
| News Comment | Town Take Up Option on Nolan's Contract at 17:19:08
blues1 don't put the blame on fans for Nolan being garbage for two seasons. He has hid across two divisions and neither his mentor Hurst nor Lambert who appears to be an admirer of his have got anything out of him. I know the player himself says that he would prefer to be a box-to-box midfielder, and maybe playing him in that role will help him and us. But he has it all to do given that he and Nsiala are synonymous with our fall from grace over the last 2 seasons. |
| News Comment | Ex-Blue McGoldrick Instigated Players Taking a Knee at 22:38:23
Just on McGoldrick's appearances, he actually played more frequently for us in his last 2 seasons than he had done in the preceding 3 seasons, all of which featured him missing several months of the campaigns. Fully behind him on BLM. |
| News Comment | Skuse: Hugely Disappointing, We Can Only Apologise at 13:41:37
The annual ITFC midsummer apology for the waste of a season just gone. “Sorry for getting so spinelessly relegated” “Sorry for curling up and dying when we went top of the league” “Sorry for showing no pride in the shirt and for constantly letting you down”. Same time next year? |
