| Forum Reply | "Get rid" chants at 13:15 8 Mar 2023
People are often very set in their ways and traditionally teams don't tend to play out from the back to the extent we do, so I think it's sometimes difficult for people to get their heads round that. However, given its pretty obvious what our style is, the fact we've done it all season (and longer) and that you don't exactly have to be a rocket scientist to understand what we're trying to do and the benefits it brings, then yes, it's incredibly frustrating, if only for the fact that players don't tend to respond well to such negative noise. So the noise only renders to harm our efforts. Go figure. |
| Forum Thread | I think everyone is entitled to a meltdown after that performance. at 23:11 14 Feb 2023
Bar the first 5 minutes, there was very little urgency to win that game. We're so painfully slow at getting forward that the 3 or 4 times we could have countered, the opportunity was gone before it began. Its so easy to set up against us that every game has the same feel to it. If we don't score early, then the tempo fades away, teams get deeper, spaces narrow and we run out of ideas. We don't have any injection to turn a game in our favour other than pass, pass, pass. Clarke ending up as a left back, wing back, shows we're desperately trying to shoehorn players in. Having said that, he actually caused a few problems and the hapless Davis did need replacing as my god, that boy does not know how to defend. Awful night for him. If you can't have a meltdown tonight, when even finishing 6th now looks a challenge, then I don't know when you can. Football hey. |
| Forum Thread | Suppose it's only fair the younger generation learn about play off heartache at 18:40 4 Feb 2023
Fair play to anyone that still thinks we'll finish top two, I admire positive attitude, but really struggling with that line of thinking myself. Our complete inability to score important late goals in games sets is aside from everyone else in the top 6 and is a major reason for me why it won't be our year. |

Agree. Have sat top tier in that corner a few times and it's a great view. Arguably better than behind the goal. If people are unhappy with the views at MK, God knows what they think about the rest of the league. |
| Forum Reply | Cobbold Stand redevelopment at 17:40 29 Jan 2023
Indeed. There seems to be a lot of chat about safe standing being some kind of "silver bullet" which will immediately improve any perceived atmosphere issues. Given you'd still have an allocated seat which you stand at, (which is what the North stand does anyway) then struggling to see how it will make any difference. There seems to be a misunderstanding that safe standing means a free for all of stand where you like. |
| Forum Reply | Blue Action at 11:16 29 Jan 2023
Really well. I'm a North stand lower section 5 season ticket and thought I'd join them. Was far enough away from the drum to not go deaf but close enough to join in. Pretty constant noise all game and you cluld see the North stand joining in. Whole atmosphere seemed really good and the view from up there is far better than my normal back row of lower north position. |
| Forum Thread | Ladapo looks much fitter and stronger at 23:22 24 Jan 2023
Than at the start of the season. Really starting to bully centre halves and push then off and hold his ground well. His touch/lay offs looks much better too and great to get another poachers goal tonight and a good finish for the second. Tough task for Hirst to get in front of him at present. |
| Forum Reply | Freddie or Hirst to start v Camb Utd? at 23:01 24 Jan 2023
Fred for me. There has to be some reward for 2 goals and a good performance and only serves to demoralise him otherwise. Also think he's a far better starter than sub. Would play Hirst against Burnley if not Cup tied? |
| Forum Reply | Why the negativity ?!?! at 16:48 22 Jan 2023
We all hope things start turning on Tuesday, but I can confidently say Tuesday night's atmosphere will be flat as a pancake and thats somewhat understandable given the way our season appears to be falling apart. Its on the players now to step up and give us something to cheer about. |
| Forum Reply | It’s now or never for us this season…. at 01:50 22 Jan 2023
We have proved time and time again this season that we simply don't have the balls/guts/mentality, whatever you want to call it, to be a promoted side. Do we all still hope and pray that will change, of course, but feel this lose is defining and probably confirms to most of our fan base that we're not going up. Yes, some will say there are X points to play for, it's nonsence to write it off in January, I suppose only time will tell but auto promotion is done for me. |
| Forum Thread | Promoted teams find a way - We don't. Lack of leaders at 18:32 21 Jan 2023
Is costing us big time. We don't have the mentality to grind results out. Have we even scored a last minute winner this season or a really significant late goal? Can't think of one. We don't have another way to win. It's either play well and win, but if we don't play well, we simply don't win games. (maybe Burton away only example all season to go against that view?) With Derby, Barnsley and Bolton away to come, reality has suddenly hit home and its done for me as can't see us winning them nor the others dropping enough points for us to catch up. Really down after that defeat. Its a season defining one, just like at Oxford last season. |
| Forum Reply | Hope the Blue Action move to Cobbold works at 12:56 17 Jan 2023
Cobbold block A should be far better noise wise for BA so that's a positive and they could try to make that section "their own" so to speak given historically I don't believe there's too many season ticket holders there. However, there's presumably a large stumbling block of cost given the seats there are more expensive so unless club changes its pricing and/or reimburses anyone who currently sits there, are BA happy to pay the additional cost? |
| Forum Reply | I really like what I saw of Hirst at 20:06 15 Jan 2023
Yes I thought he done well. Loads of effort and a few nice touches. Didn't cleanly win many headers but certainly made sure the defenders didn't either and looked as though he may cause defences issues. Good start for him to build on hopefully. |
| Forum Thread | It could just be Plymouth's year - draw a fair result at 22:36 14 Jan 2023
But obviously we should have held on but it wasn't exactly a shock when they scored. We've conceded many late goals now and do appear, for whatever reason, to be unable to kill games, close the door and just manage close games. The equaliser is their second fortunate deflection against us this season and given we out score them in virtually all stats (bar points!), maybe it is just their year to go up. They have an annoying ability to score from low percentage situations and we clearly are not set up to hang onto wins. So I kind of think, fair play, they deserve to be ahead of us. Same applies to Wednesday who have somehow had less possession against Wycombe which is a classic example of grinding out a win, something we just don't do. |
| Forum Reply | I've just nearly had a car crash at 13:11 11 Jan 2023
Incident specific details (witnesses etc), would be taken into account, but without such and fundamentally, then the view that the person coming out of the junction is at fault is correct. You can't just pull out of a junction. You've a duty to check both ways. Vehicles already on the carriageway have priority. |
| Forum Reply | Fans moaning and claiming today should have been priority letters at 20:34 9 Jan 2023
Not sure if this is a wind up, but to suggest someone who hasn't been to a single (or very few) games have the same priority as people who have attended lots of games when tickets are in short supply is simply wrong. Its unfortunate if the former cannot afford to attend games, but those that can and do should rightly be rewarded with a greater chance of getting tickets. They are after all, the ones supporting the team each week. |
| Forum Reply | The gold card system/the rest of our away games at 11:59 9 Jan 2023
Yeah, think points system needs to be the way forward. Think Cheltenham is about 1400ish and P'Boro will likely be 4000ish so only one is Fleetwood on last day that will likely be an issue for those wanting to attend. |
