'They are young therefore they are better' I think a more accurate version of this would be, 'They are young therefore they will get better' Old players can't get better.
I always though O'Connor would become a good player, but it's a shame he hasn't been given a chance, whether there is a reason for it, I wish we knew.

I would be suprised if Murray was slower than Ellington, and Murray has at least scored a goal or two.
If Ellington is not a goalscorer, what is he? Certainly not a playmaker, ball-winner or aerial threat.
Murphy might be able to beat Carson over distance, but how far does he need to be running? Murphy is not a winger, he's a striker. Carson, however, is a winger.
We can definately pass the ball, but we do not try enough, I don't know what goes on in training, but passing should be a priority.
Lee-Barrett didn't just have to pass it to Cresswell, there is Edwards as an option to, and I'm sure a midfielder could come back to offer another option.
We do use Murphy's aerial abilities.
It did work well in those games, but Scotland was not the problem vs. Forest, Lee-Barrett just didn't get it over to him enough, if at all.
Ingimarsson is worse. |
