| Forum Reply | Where have these Conservatives been the past few years? at 10:41 27 Feb 2024
From the article: "Damian Green, chair of the One Nation caucus of Tory MPs, said "the best way" to grow the economy was by "cutting taxes and giving people the opportunity to buy their own homes and invest in their future"." The obsession that growing the economy is the only marker of success as a country is the fundamental issue here. The true markers of success should be life expectancy because of good healthcare, literacy levels cause of good schools, thriving culture because of investment in the arts, low crime rates because of investment in communities and support systems for the vulnerable etc etc. You might just find that all those things also lead to a balanced and thriving economy but for the benefit of more than just the top 1%, which is probably why it hasn't been done thus far. |

Nope. No-one cares if you like it or not but those who don't like it seem to feel the need to tell everyone they don't whenever given the chance and it's tedious. [Post edited 19 Feb 16:37]

Hopefully the first of many! Bringing the women's team closer to the men's makes so much sense. I believe there was mention of them playing at the refurbed Playford Road? If we don't get into the Championship or WSL soon it could become harder and harder as the money in the game increases. |
| Forum Reply | How Leicester vs Ipswich was a ‘Premier League-level’ game at 16:45 24 Jan 2024
"Ipswich have had a more direct option this season with George Hirst and they ended up clipping a lot of balls from the goalkeeper against Leicester, which is not Kayden Jackson’s natural game." Surely he is saying that cause of Leicester's press we had to go longer on occasions and that would have been more effective if we had Hirst. Which is true. |

100% agree with keeping going on one song for longer. SBR can hear Section A but it’s not like it’s a wall of noise. Takes a while for people to catch on what it is and that will be the proactive people first and then it’s going to take a couple of rounds before the more reluctant get involved. |
| Forum Reply | Waiting room for Norwich tickets at 10:24 27 Nov 2023
No one joined the queue until 10am. The bit before that was the waiting room, everyone in the waiting room is assigned a random position in the queue at 10. It stops everyone trying to log on at the same time and overloading the servers. |

| Forum Thread | Supporters Trust at 23:05 1 Dec 2020
After the article in the The Guardian mentioning the silence of the Supporters Trust and Lambert’s attack on the fans tonight, that would have warranted a clear statement from any such trust stating the clubs long history of supporting youth etc. Do people think there is a need for a trust? Is it time for a relaunch? I realise the last incarnation wasn’t particularly successful but at this point in our history it feels like we should try everything we can to affect some positive change?! |

"That is exactly what they have done for most of Evans’s 13-year tenure. Even the official supporters’ club was moved to warn “the seeming stagnation of our club must not be allowed to continue” in an otherwise cautious statement on Monday. Perhaps they had confused “stagnation” with “accelerated decay”. At least it was something: the club’s supporters’ trust has been dormant for nearly four years, reflecting the organisation it should be scrutinising." Interesting point on the Supporter's Trust. It was largely ineffective when it existed but seems like the last four years were the years it was needed most. |
| Forum Reply | A strategy we can all agree on RE: Evans? at 00:50 6 Jan 2019
I'm not saying it would change anything just that it is a strategy that might put some pressure on him and is surely better than doing nothing? |

Whether you like Evans or not. Think he is saving or destroying us there is maybe one thing we can all agree on. We don't know what his reasons for doing what he has done so far and we don't know what his plan is for the future. I think our focus as a unified fanbase could be to get Evans to sit down with Stuart Watson, Brenner, Phil and maybe a fan group and answer actual questions (Turnstile Blue had a good list a while back). All we've ever heard is the fluff that came out at the start of the season. He needs to come forward and answer real and difficult questions. From a PR point of view refusing to talk to anyone is a bad look for him the louder the calls get. Would also be the kind of campaign that the Star can get behind cause it's not calling for his head just for him to talk. |
