Make your mind up is it ‘he’ or ‘she’ ? You have referred to Eddie as both on your post……

Classic mindfield!

BBC headline on 4 July lead story stated he fell below the wealth limit - a story as far as I know which was taken from Coutts briefings direct to BBC. That’s what troubles me.

Look I’m no Farage apologist but I have misgivings at how Coutts handled this.

They literally briefed that was the reason if it’s a breach of data protection it’s up to Farage to follow up but I’m not sure I’ve seen anything to suggest they didn’t put that out as their original reason?

Thats probably correct and if so they should have stated that from the outset, what gets me (as no fan of the man) is that they briefed to the BBC and others that it was because his finances failed to meet their criteria for holding an account, just disingenuous and poor corporate PR.

I was behind the goal, I ducked convinced it was coming through the netting!

Genuinely think that Charlton result spooked the team - think that was harder to take than we realise.

I also thought that about the advertising boards.

We are almost certainly guaranteed a play off spot now unless something disastrous happens between now and the end of the season, that’s progress.

Not really a moan but no thought for the fans, as a spectacle it was ruined in the second half, genuinely couldn’t see what was going on over large swathes of the pitch.

Charlton and Oxford away, two farcical games for different reasons, probably won’t (I hope) see the likes again for a long while.

Blimey, wait until you see the Championship teams when we get promoted.

It’s always been thus no mater what league we play in, that’s the nature of football.

Can I just say I’m not really sure what the heck is going on but it’s quite funny watching from the sidelines.

EDIT: realise that for some involved this isn’t funny, hope the situation calms down.

Great article, my mum worked there for many years when it was a health farm.

She was in quite a senior role and had loads of great stories of many of the guests, it was quite an ‘A’ List of the great and the good at the time including royalty, Princess Margaret was a visitor…..she really wasnt’t very nice by all accounts!

Infrastructure seems to be taking a big hit now
at 14:55 21 Dec 2021

They are not redeploying staff to cover COVID wards and significant COVID admissions as they did in lockdown 1 and 2, at least not yet, my missus was front line on both occasions but she hasn’t been redeployed so far this time.

So fair to say COVID (and I guess other seasonal sickness) is depleting staff numbers but redeployment to cover this scenario isn’t being contemplated just yet at least not in this Trust.

My missus works in the St Thomas & Guys hospital trust, they have just been told that they expect nearly a quarter of staff to be off by next week.

They are shutting down a lot of routine stuff but are saying they aren’t (currently) expecting to be overwhelmed with COVID patients this is purely down to staff sickness, is there a silver lining in that??
