Can see what you are saying, but thought Edmundsen was solid tonight as was Burgess. Burgess MOTM but Edmundsen was quality.
Sarmiento is a great flair player as we have seen but tonight he got stuck in and played the team game more than I had seen previously imho. He fought for every ball and worked back to help.
Sky commentators where effusive about Vas in that situation. Dragged from the front post to back post, went down for a save and scrambled to get back up hold his hands high.
It was an amazing save full stop and earned the 3 points!
Cam definitely, Fridge was great too while emotions are still running high... we just looked more solid at the back tonight. Managed the game better...despite some scares...
While I see posts claiming Hladky should have done better, well yes he could have palmed the ball wide. I personally don't think he could have cought it with the pressure around him.
My big issue here is that the situation should never have happened. Tuanzebe was 2 against one at the back post. Defensively we need to do better in terms of just heading the fricking ball out of the area. Don't think we have a leader in the back four to organise the tall strong in the air players.
Whenever a ball is crossed into our box it's a lottery imho.
Edit: In summary we don't number up well on set pieces perhaps too many back crowding the area?
