| News Comment | McCarthy and Murphy Win Awards at 09:49:38
For those questioning McCarthy winning this, it was because town took more points than any other side in November (10 out of a possible 12). Funnily enough Derby of all teams are complaining about clement not winning it!!! |
| News Comment | Trust Would Back Academy Upgrade at 22:05:46
Campag, I think I miss read the line about ffp, so apologies on that. However I'm not convinced that the lay out for a cat 1 academy is all what it is built up to be. If we do go for cat 1, we'd be paying more to develop players, which would still be available to be poached by other academies only we'll get a few more thousand for the players. The benefits are obviously the better facilities to develop players and the ability to bring in players from across the country, but I'm not sure that its worth the massive outlay. |
| News Comment | Trust Would Back Academy Upgrade at 20:12:50
This is the second time that I've heard of this trust, and both times they released quite ill informed statements. The campaign for a cat 1 academy was purely based on the number 1 being better than the number 2. This statement they refer to how the decision for cat 2 was because of ffp, despite the academy running cost not being included in the ffp figures. |

Sounds like shiels was fed a line and decided to go with it and now looks a little silly. |

I don't think Lansbury, cleverly & eagles had much first team experience prior to joining Watford on loan. Neither did noble before he came to us, it's just a very short sighted approach to dismiss every young loanee because of a few poor examples when there are just as many good examples. |

Jimmyjazz, you seem to leave out the successful loans & players who have dropped into the championship. Eagles, cleverly, Lansbury, noble, colback and gio to name a few that went to other clubs & came to us. |

Hipchopra, you're right, we got beat 3-1 I think, back in 95/96, I believe dwight yorke absolutely took us apart. |
| News Comment | Town Announce Burnley Ticket Offer at 22:56:08
Nsl, they reduce price for 1 game, fans will come to 1 game with club receiving a reduced revenue. This way the club get the fans committing to 2 games and will get the extra revenue from other supporters, it's possibly the only long term strategy of the club at the moment. |
| News Comment | Town Announce Burnley Ticket Offer at 19:10:58
Jas, a st in sbrl or sarl (cheapest) is on average £17 a game, this offer will mean the average for the 2 games will be at cheapest £15 for the 2 games (this is assuming the burnley games is a cat c, which I doubt) so for the sake of getting the cheapest deal for 2 games you are willing to forfeit having the cheapest ticket for the other 21 games? Stop moaning about everything the club does ffs! |
| News Comment | Rugby World Cup Could Still Come to Town at 17:56:53
I'd be up for this, however it's concerning that England won the bid some time ago and with 3 years to go seem none the wiser on which stadiums will host the tournament! |
