Not an unlikely scenario – we have had to surmount bumps all season and it would be no surprise to me if one arrived in the first half tomorrow. Everyone needs to hold their nerve. |

Morning all, this is what would be called a #journorequest on Twitter ... is anyone on here coming from far flung climes without a ticket tomorrow just to take in the (potential) vibes? Or does anyone know of anyone? Don't need their names or to speak to them – just interested to know the lengths people are going to in order to join in. |

I refuse to be lulled by anything that comes out of them, their fanbase or indeed our fanbase about how they'll approach Saturday. They'll field 11 Championship players and, as we have found out in almost every single game this season, that means we have a hell of a scrap on our hands. |

I think we can get to their level with the way our club is progressing – but they are a few years ahead of us by any measure and the building blocks are in place for a manager looking to push on in what can be a short career. It would be much more toss of a coin on whether we could have a proper stab at staying up at the first attempt. Some managers would take that chance, some wouldn't. |

Never felt like more than a two-year appointment to me and I don't think he'll get them to the needed level – it's a weird club and I think things will fray by the end of next season, already some signs. I like him too, he's great. |

Interesting one for McKenna because, from one perspective, there's the thought that if we go up and get relegated next season your stock is (rightly or wrongly) never going to be as high again. You have to take opportunities at a perfect point in the career arc and that takes tough decisions. Doubt any top clubs will be going for Rob Edwards next season much as he's a cracking coach and great bloke. On the other hand, if he has a good season in the PL with us there'll probably be a vacancy at Spurs in a year and that would be a very obvious fit by then. |
| Forum Reply | Is there any doubt that we won’t do it? at 16:07 1 May 2024
Yes it's that 10%. We've all seen weird things happen in football. It can happen to us. I've nasty images of how Dortmund were so geared up for a party on the final day of last year's Bundesliga season before massively fluffing it. It's entirely possible we have adverse moments on Saturday and hopefully everyone is calm enough to help the players through them. So agonisingly close though. |
| Forum Reply | Team for Saturday? at 15:58 1 May 2024
There were definitely some tired legs out there last night but I think, when it comes down to it, he will want to go with the established A team if he possibly can. Only question mark will be which one of Broadhead/Hutchinson/Chaplin/Burns drops out. |
| Forum Reply | I’m so nervous about Saturday at 12:44 1 May 2024
Yep, that's the thing, such fine margins in most Champ games and it just takes one aberration or bolt from the blue to change everything. We still have a massive job to do and may yet need a spot of luck. |
| Forum Reply | If we do it.. at 11:22 1 May 2024
Yep, it's going to be a really hard game – they haven't a bad record away from home recently and have given most sides something to think about. It will be tight and some of their lads may well fancy the atmosphere. Some decent Championship experience in there and a couple of handy strikers. Not at all impossible we go behind at some stage and everyone needs to hold their nerve. This is not remotely done. |

Suspect he won't deviate from Saturday much if possible. Also suspect he'll see this as another one we can sort out from the bench as long as we're within a goal of Cov by the hour mark – they won't have many aces to play and we should have several. |
| Forum Reply | How do you all feel right now? at 14:19 29 Apr 2024
Just have no idea what's coming tomorrow. Coventry are obviously a very good side and Robins a total pro, so if they fancy turning up and making a point we'll be in for a long and probably see-sawing night. If they're just totally done, we should be ok. Can't think of much else at the moment, that's for sure. |
| Forum Reply | I've only just realised at 14:06 29 Apr 2024
Ha, no but I do wonder if it means he's not quite tempted to stick a load of kids in. They have some decent players to be fair and have only lost three of their last nine aways – of course we can take them but it would be so, so, so nice to only need a point. |

Me, on a mid-afternoon train and then that late one to Euston. |

Martin made a valid point yesterday in saying his players have had a crazy schedule and need a full training/recovery week behind them. They’ll get another one before the play-offs so have to hope he rolls out the A team and presses the case that four straight defeats would be a really bad vibe. |
