Morsy: Boss is as Focused as I've Ever Seen Him
at 19:32:56

He should be focussed. He must be focussed.Isn't that his job? We don't need reminding of that. His job and the club's season depend on it.One more season in L1 or as it currently stands a season in L2 will be disastrous.

Blues Legend Beattie Dies
at 16:58:35

Such sad news.Dad and I used to watch Town in the Beattie era and he rated him alongside Duncan Edwards as the best player he ever saw.
Plus will always remember Gerry Harrison on Anglia commentating on a evening game. I think it was a home European game. Free kick ,outside the box, absolutely rocketed into the top corner.
" Its there ,(or its in)...its three....its Beattie !"
Thanks for so many memories !

McCarthy: A Strange Feeling
at 18:55:52

Just about sums it up ...where is the proactive leadership from the club on this ?
OK ME has reacted in recognising what was a untenable relationship.
MM and TC are fulfilling their contracts as employees of the club.
Just the same ,as those of us who are, or have been employees of an organisation would have to do.
This is not a situation of MM's making, he is just doing and losing ,his job , albeit in a much better position than those of us who have been made redundant or who are being made redundant.
Why is he out there taking it on the chin ? That is his current job and no one else in the club has the strength or guts to do so

Ex-England Boss McClaren Linked With Town
at 18:17:46

Lets face it guys we are not going to be a popular choice. The football management fraternity will look at how Mick McCarthy feels he has been treated and value that.In that fraternity he is much respected. Some parts of the national press are describing us as toxic. Marcus Evans financial investment in maintaining the club is widely recognised and respected. His recent track record on a level of funding to take the club forward is also recognised. On the plus side he does have a track record of giving managers time to try and make it happen.
So ,in my view there are three options.
1 A proven manager with a chequered history e.g. McLarenesque. Whoever it is would have the huge baggage us fans would impose on him as a big hurdle
2 Build from within, this could work, not close enough to the club to know the detail but Klug does come across as highly respected and valued. We surely must have other coaches in the club. to build on as well. Would need a director of football role for a couple of years to bring it all together. Someone with ITFC in their blood would be good, but not convinced that going back to the Burley era is the answer.
3 Go for a relatively unknown up and coming manager. Hard call and goes against Marcus Evans's previous strategies. Whoever gets the job would need a lot of goodwill and support from ALL at the club and in the community.Plus would anyone up and coming with a good track record to date choose ITFC...stagnating,looking backwards, toxic?

Decision will have a interesting outcome but please lets not deride every realistic name that comes forward.

Feeney Won't Be Joining Town

No great surprise ,if the club is Blackburn. Last club was Bolton so Blackburn convenient from a home standpoint. Likely to have a young family so a relocation not great, particularly if only for 2 years.

Does the cub have in place a mechanism to monitor the views of fans being expressed on social media and the Internet and if so are those views ever brought to the attention of the club's owner,CEO and Manager ?

Town Topic: Are Town Fans Overreacting to Bad Start?
at 10:56:03

If we were only reacting to a bad start to the season, then yes there has been some over reaction. However its much deeper than that. We are reacting to a continuing decline in performance and results which goes back to last season and beyond. Remember the embarrassing "lap of honour" at the end of last season. That was bad and its been downhill since then.
Also we have not addressed some of the problems which have been longstanding eg Defence and ends of contract etc. Fans are entitled to react to that.
Finally more of the players could at least show some passion when playing. I went on Weds V Wolves after going on Sat to see Mansfield V Braintree. There whilst the quality of football was not as good at least every player on both sides tried and kept running for the whole game. Braintree going a goal down meant they tried to fight back. Didn't see that on Weds and when we went 2 down it was just a matter of playing out time. No urgency no passion. Fans are entitled to react to that.
