Nathan Jones didn't bring them in and since they have been safe from relegation I can't blame him at all. He needs to prepare his side for next season and his priority is his club. Wears his heart on his sleeve. His head was turned by Palace and a prem opportunity. There is no shame in that. Yes he took a bit of time to get his head right again but I don't doubt Downes integrity. I think it was a scenario that was best for all parties. I'd absolutely have Downes back. It sounds like he may not be willing. As fans we can choose to be bitter or not. For me I don't see much issue and it worked for all parties. Downes should understand the scenario for what it was and that we needed to move in a new direction as a football club and he probably needed to move on himself for his progression and head space at the time. |

Great to see people not moaning about this! There really is nothing to moan about. The club have been fantastic in recent season of keeping pricing down so the % increase over the last few seasons combined is very fair l. Even more importantly the product we are now getting is absolutely outstanding. If we want to compete and with the financial rules as they are we have to bring more revenue in. Don't imagine we will see any drop off in sales. |

Pure agent talk. He's playing his best football at his absolute ceiling as a keeper. He's a prem keeper with his ball at his feet but he's at best lower champ/L1 shot stopper. A good champ keeper. Really like him and his style fits over and bove anything else. Hope we keep him but the minute the agent plays games or they ask too much for 33 year old then we walk away. It's win win for him to stay. |

Bazza Elkin has high potential and high ceiling. He could hopefully go on to be class for us. But as per almost all young CBs, more than any other position, there is a steep learning curve. He had moments of quality at Gillingham but some real ups and downs in form. He's absolutely behind all our other CBs right now. I don't see that as a negative at all.
Also fridge isnt lacking in pace? Or at least I've never seen it that way. Quicker than. Burgess. I don't get the anti Fridge rhetoric. He's becoming a worse player in fans minds from having injuries. Fully fit he's a quality player. |

You never know with a tweak but it looked minor. He played on but was only a minute or so to go. Just looked a bit uncomfortable. Would be surprised if not something that will be 1-3 weeks but we will see. |
