| News Comment | Player of the Year Voting Gets Under Way at 14:31:43
I always find these kind of awards odd. Voting for player of the season at a time when the most crucial 8 games remain. Say someone does something outstanding for the next 8 games. It’s the same as pundits getting asked to call MoM at 85 mins in a dour 0-0. They name a defender obviously and then striker from the other side scores a brilliant brace and yet the centre back he’s kippered twice in injury time has inexplicably been award MoM. Utterly stupid way of doing things and so cannot bring myself to vote |

| News Comment | Ashton: Character is a Huge Part of It at 16:43:47
Anyone still wanting or thinking Norwood could do a job at our club is crazy. These types were half the problem and Ashton is outlining exactly why we have moved on from that and look at the difference it’s making. No one is going to say on ability alone we should be storming the Champ after being in L1 last year but the character and closeness of this squad is such a crucial factor. I don’t understand some or our fans sometimes. Norwood would be the worse thing you could do in this squad currently added to the fact he is nowhere near good enough for this level. We need an upgrade on striker to cover Hirst but it certainly won’t be anyone of the character of Norwood. |
| News Comment | Charlton Tickets Sell Out in Minutes at 23:35:13
I don't get it Eeyore? How can you clap an opposition goal politely or not celebrate a town goal. Even if I could somehow subdue my outward celebration of a town goal it has absolutely no appeal whatsoever. If I can't celebrate a town goal in the stadium in am watching at then I'd prefer just to listen to commentary on the radio or even chance an online stream and celebrate as loudly and excitedly as I want to. My dad took me to Carrow Road in 1992 in the hime end as a 12 year old, the only way he could get tickets, and despite telling me absolutely not to loudly celebrate a town goal, when Neil Thompson scored in the last minute to secure a 2-0 win I went mental! If it's I. Your blood it's in your blood. I would never not celebrate a town goal wherever I am and would have no interest being in a ‘home' end. |

Plymouth looked by far and away the best team we have played. Their record against the top 6 is impressive, so see no reason why they are not in it for the duration. The positive is Plymouth's victories against the top 6 are all at home, so they have some long trips on the road including Portman Road. I think Portsmouth are pretty average and I don't see much else to fear other than Plymouth and maybe Wednesday will get it together but they're not looking anything special currently. This is our season, i cannot see two better teams than us and think Plymouth and Town will battle it out upfront. A team like Barnsley or Bolton could go on a run, but Bolton look short of goals and it was good to see them lose to Cheltenham last night. |
| News Comment | Ladapo: I'm a Better Player Since I Joined Town at 22:22:33
Great interview. Can feel the hunger he has but also such a great attitude to this being a squad and everyone playing their part and not always starting. The personality of players McKenna and Gamechhanger have brought in is a massive reason why things are going so well I believe, not just the ability. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Simpson Wants to Move On in the Summer at 15:56:42
Simpson comes across as a bit of a knob through all of this i hate to say. He wants to move on from a club on the up that has a shortage of strikers and he hasn't even tried to make a go of. Really odd. Disappointed in him especially as he is a local lad and he want to my old school (Langley). I'd love to wish him luck but i can't. The club has nurtured him he could at least give it a shot, to want to move on without even trying says a lot. |
| News Comment | McKenna: I Enjoyed Watching Us Play at 23:31:10
McKenna's at the wheel! This guy is a breathe of fresh air. Not just the results which have been fantastic, but what he says and how he analyses everything and sets up for the the opposition. This is a proper football man, not a scouse 'want to be one of the lads' type. |
| News Comment | Cook: We Were Beaten By a Far Better Team All Over the Pitch at 23:11:02
Time to go Mr Cook and give someone a go who actually has a plan B and can set up a team based on the opposition. Selecting a team with 3 10s playing behind Boone against a bullying team like Rotherham was suicide. Ashton and co, please make the change, don't dwell, it's need to be done now! |
| News Comment | Cook: An Absolutely Shocking Performance at 17:59:26
Time to go Paul, it's not working and we aren't improving. You don't seem to have any ideas whatever set of players you are presented with. Perhaps the reason you don't want to bring the players in on Sunday because you and your inexperienced coaches don't actually know what you want or need to coach them!? |
| News Comment | U23s Host Barnsley at 13:02:46
re not announcing the team until later....that's a bit ridiculous isn't it. It's not like it would exactly reveal our line up only who might definitely not be involved. Not like we have players the opposition should be concerned about and having used over 40 players this season still be impossible to know our line up. Hate this kind of thing. |
| Blog Comment | Two Directions at 22:57:00
FFS... this is utter crap. You can't blindly support someone who is crap at their job and underperforming. This is 3 seasons of consistently going backwards. In case you hadn't noticed, we are in the third tier....there is no excuse for being 12th in this division....having previously finished 11th. Wake the fu*k up! |
| News Comment | Judge: I'm Not Going to Kid Myself, I've Been Shit But Rochdale Felt More Like My Old Self at 09:39:15
Think there is a lot of unfair comment on Judge. It's clear he's not been at his best, and he has way more ability than we have seen, but he has openly admitted he's struggled for form and it seems there are quite valid reasons for this. Obviously personal problems and missing pre-season have had an impact but the biggest thing he has mentioned is he has clearly lost a bit of confidence because of the way he has been playing. I play football regularly, not to any great standard, but after a fairly long absence this year, I just seemingly cannot play to the same level as before....I keep beating myself up about it and it's all completely down to confidence. I'm the same player, same legs but timing has gone when I shoot, crosses over or underhit, constantly feel pressure on the ball even when i have time. Now i'm finally slowly getting confidence back as things i do come off, but what i thought may take a few games has taken me over 3 months. This is the first time I've really appreciated the impact confidence has on a player and the absolute hollow feeling of desperation, and letting team mates down when you seemingly can't play to the standard that you were before. We really should get behind the guy if the manager seems fit to select him and not knock him as I imagine that is only going to make the situation 10 times worse for AJ. If the manager thinks form and mindset of AJ is not good enough then he won't select him but he's obviously seeing enough in training to see him as a starter. Let's support the guy as we are more to see the player we want to that criticizing him online. I really hope he doesn't read these threads as it won't help his confidence. |
| Blog Comment | Green’Un With Envy at 10:27:53
Great read. Football and following it had soul before the era of internet and premierleague money. I miss those days, and listening via radio, following grandstand and relying on the papers for any snippets on Town. Even TWTD doesn't make up for those days, (Sorry Phil!) |
| Blog Comment | Luke Chambers Will Be a Town Legend at 12:39:43
Well said...I'd much rather watch Luke Chambers play at RB, than a more talented player that didn't show any passion or love for the club. Luke Chambers will go down as one of my favourite ITFC players Hoppy spot on. Carlos seemed an ok fella, but he could play a whole 90 mins without uttering a word...not what you want from a captain. |
| News Comment | Town Closing in on Malarczyk Signing at 15:44:59
Excellent. This has all the makings of a good signing. Another player signed who has captained his side, and 8 goals from 131 appearances for a defender is good going...we have a considerable goal threat from our defenders. I genuinely cannot believe how things have gone this season...signings, contracts, performances, results, cup run, a decent 2nd string, emergence of youngsters....now we just need the crowds back...come on everyone...make the dream happen and do your bit! I haven't felt so excited about Town since we got relegated from the PL in 2001! |

tractorboy81......is it not a bit rich commenting on someones grammar when you appear not to understand your and you are which is very basic English. It's "you're welcome" not "your welcome" !! |
