Gonna be bringing a niece and nephew who are at an awkward size of being short enough to not see through a deep crowd, but too big to easily have on shoulders! So ideally I'd like to be able to get reasonably close to the front somewhere along the route, although it's more about being there and it's hardly the end of the world not seeing everything. Aimed at those who were there for the previous ones, what times did people get down there and how busy was it? Trying to work out what time to get down there tomorrow! |

Would seem accurate. He's so out of his depth he doesn't even realise he's out of his depth. I bet if asked what NATO stood for, not only would he get it wrong, he probably wouldn't get a single letter of the acronym right. Hell he might think it was actually called Neigh-toe. |

He may have been a good spinner, but my god he's thick! Absolute car crash interview where he can't even deal with a softball question without smashing his own face in with the bat.

Don't have a ticket, but I'm driving down from Leicester. I'll head down the ground to take part in this before racing back to my Parents to watch with family. COYFB! |
| Forum Reply | 35k capacity ground isn't even enough is it? at 14:44 1 May 2024
I think it's important to work out how any work is funded. If it is funded via loans, then the interest of those loans counts against PSR and will drain reduce the playing budget. I think the ideal would be to finance any work through capital injection. I'd love it if say £50m of the £100m investment went to build the new stand. Need to find a way to build for the future as Portman Road is arguably too small, but definitely lacks money making facilities which will be important to build the club into an established PL side. |

I think the goal should be: - Redevelop Cobbold and add 5k + Hospitality/commercial now with new share investment (maybe that was the plan for the bulk of that money?) - Wait 5 years to see if we can establish in the PL and if we need any extra capacity, hospitality, facilities, etc - If we do establish ourselves, add maybe another 5k onto the West Stand, maybe filling in the corner between it and the SAR and or SBR. Then I think that's that 40k is the realistic max you should make Portman Road. Maybe one other thing would be to make use of the training pitch area and make a much more permanent and bespoke fan park. |

You should be more focused on your game with Birmingham rather than crying about your bigger and better rivals. |

It's been pretty well established now that they sing "Champions of England, you made us sing that" in reference to their deceased chairman. |

Don't know if it made it to being a chant, but I saw a leicester fan on twitter singing (to the tune of rock the casbah): Leeds don't like Prem Staying Down with the Cov Scum, down with the Cov scum. Which tickled me a bit. [Post edited 29 Apr 23:57]

| Forum Reply | I think it was even worse than that... at 14:03 26 Apr 2024
Based on the National League's statement (who seem to have fought in Gateshead's corner against the EFL), they needed the guarantee by 1st March this year which they didn't get. They got something from the council on the 28th March, but according to the EFL this wasn't good enough. It was also nearly a month late by that point. Issue seems to have been that the council weren't willing to commit to letting the club play there for 10 years and dragged their heels beyond the 11th hour. (I wonder if they want to sell it for housing....) https://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/national-league-statement-gateshead-footbal [Post edited 26 Apr 14:03]

America's dallying has cost thousands of lives and made Ukraine's work massively harder. Fingers crossed their current renewed enthusiasm holds. It is within the gift of the US (and west in general) to ensure Ukraine wins, but it requires conviction. |
| Forum Reply | The fact that Hull and Cov are both away might help us at 13:28 24 Apr 2024
Is it particularly? I'd argue at the moment the pressure is on Leeds because of playing earlier and this is their chance to throw down the gauntlet. By the time we kick off against Hull, Leeds will have zero pressure until after we play Hull and Coventry. They will just be passengers until the final game. After Friday, I think it's all pressure on us. We will be in a position where we NEED to get points. Potentially we'll know for certain we need to win every game. |

I saw someone sum her up nicely: 'the problem isn't that she's an idiot, but that's she thinks she's a genius' Anyone who did as badly as her, but was equipped with any level of self awareness would just shut up and be forgotten about. |
