We will now be charged £40 because we won’t agree to reciprocal away ticket pricing. Happened to Leeds (who said in a statement we didn’t agree to it) and now Sheffield Wednesday which clearly shows we are the common dominator.
I feel this is greedy from the club, I understand that they want to gain extra revenue however this comes to the fans expense as result which I don’t think is right as now a family of 4 will be spending £100 on tickets alone.
After January success of getting all our ‘Plan A’ transfer targets, it’s clear to see that it has definitely been a struggle since our promotion!
The 3 signings we have brought in so far have very limited championship experience so are all unknown quantities. Must be frustration for Ashton and Co with the season opener being less than a week away.
Whilst I’m glad we are refusing to pay over the offs for a player just because it’s perceived we have money, it is a little concerning that we haven’t brought in any real championship proven quality as a lot of us would have expected.
I do wonder however if the management team are using this season to see who will can stand up to the challenge and next summer will be when we see the most change where it will be more evident to see where the gaps are in the squad in terms of quality.
Called up to see if previous points would be retrospectively be put on if you bought the membership and it was confirmed that ONLY gold card members of last year get this perk and NOT season ticket holders.
Season ticket holders last year who did not have gold cards can only start on a maximum of 5 which is what you get when you buy the membership.
Frustrating to say the least! This has got to be the biggest fault with this membership!!
I’m not going to mention names as It appears people already know within the forum who I will be referring to but it looks like Ipswich are trying to sign a defender permanently from a premier league club. He is on loan at a championship club and has played regularly during the season but I don’t want to say anything more than this just in case I can’t say on the forum unless Phil says I can or cant’t mention the name.
Edit: It’s Harry Clarke - name been posted on social media so not a secret Deal not done yet though
Another game where we’ve dropped points from winning a game. It’s as if we are trying to play the perfect game. With certain teams you know that they will play up until the last second of a game trying to get that extra goal which plymouth have done this season and dare I say it Norwich over the last few times when they have been in championship scoring late goal after late goal. We on the other hand are so insistent on trying to see out what we’ve got and I understand that it is needed at certain times however this is a continuous problem that we are suffering from letting teams come back into games and not finishing them off.
I fear this could be the reason if we miss out on the top 2 however we must not overreact as we have still got 20 league games this season and if you win 14/15 of them, we will be on 95 points. We have the capability of winning 15 of them but I do wonder if we have the mentality to.
We were and still are in for Taylor however Peterborough were looking for around £2m plus and is still something we will/could be looking at in this window should the situation change and it wouldn’t be a surprise if this were still to happen late on but compromises from both Ipswich and Peterborough would have to be made. When MacAnthony was on about laughable bids for there players, he was referring to us about Jack Taylor.
Whittaker is someone we have had discussions with Swansea about and while no official bid has gone in, discussions and verbal offers have been however they have will not go further than this until after todays game where it’s expected an official bid will go in.
